Arguably one of Queensland's best championship golf courses, it is without doubt one of the most beautiful places to play golf in Brisbane. The challenging 18-hole course, a real credit to its creator - touring professional Graham Marsh - opened in 2002 and has received widespread acclaim over the past decade. The perennially popular golf course features a Marsh masterstroke…Australia's first TifEagle greens, which ensure the most consistent putting surface. Located just 35 minutes due north of the CBD, the course is open to everyone seven days a week

I grew up in North Lakes from when it first openned. Unfortunately never got the chance to play it. New the end was coming when they reduced membership price to $99 to get the last bits of money
The players membership was great. $99 then chesp Golf. The members got reimbursed pro rata

Real shame such a nice course is closing!! Just hope some property developer is not going to build houses on the course. This is happening in England a few times now. A golf course near me has been bought by a member who is a property developer and he wants to build 3 or 400 houses on the course, some people just see dollar signs.
Money rules mate. People need it and the owner of the course has the right to do so and sell. It's hard but the development still isn't 100%
it hasn't been approved to be developed on yet. The course is just closing. There is still hope yet.
That is true. We have only said it's sold. We don't know what will happen after that. We want it to stay, that's for sure. Plenty of people wanted to buy it to keep it a golf course.
What a lovely course,such a shame to close one of the nicest courses in Brisbane. Come on richo,want to see you get to 30 points and alan finish under par,would be a lovely way to finish your last round at north lakes.
