I'm new to crafting stuff, randomly came across your channel and this is an absolute work out art. Not sure if air dry clay and paper mache is a common thing but it works absolutely beautifully for creating bark textures.
Thank you so much, dear friend. I'm glad you bumped into this channel of mine. And I really appreciate it. Regarding the air dry clay and paper maché they are completely different type of clay. The one I used in this project is the one they called Paper clay and I think it's slightly differ from paper maché.😊
The bark and tree shape looks amazing. I love how you use recycled materials. I've thought about doing these for some time, but I still havent found a tutorial for making realistic looking leaves. They always end up plastic looking which is a shame. Maybe a challenge for a new project? Thank you for a great video!
thank you so much, dear friend. I really appreciate the compliments.😊 I'm actually planning and looking ways on how to make realistic pine needles and cypress spurs. Please, wish me luck in the future.
@@BrightGira-pu4vl No problem at all, brother. I just soaked 2pcs teared paper egg trays in hot water overnight then drain them the morning. After that I chopped them finely by a food process then add in wood glue or pva glue will do about 300ml. Then add 300grams terracotta clay and that's it.😊
@@LifeofClayI’ve done the same thing as you but I use flour with the paper instead of the clay. If you like using the clay, why do you add paper to it? Thanks for your video.
@@robdavinroy1761 just because I like, brother🙂. For by incorporating flour into the mix, most likely it attracts vermin that may munch your piece overtime and leads to disappointment. So as much as possible, I use materials that vermin won't find edible. And though I love using clay I add paper in some cases just to add volume and save clay. Thank you😊
The intricate details and beautiful textures…. Gorgeous sculpture!!! 😊
That means a lot, dear. Thank you so much😊🙏💚
