Midnight

This is one of my longest-running projects to date, and I'm super happy to finally have it out! I got the idea for this piece almost two years ago, when I was fiddling around on the piano one night and discovered a really pleasant 1-5 ostinato; it has since grown from that into this three-movement suite. It was always meant to be about dreams; movement 2 represents a sort of gentle sleep, with lush chords and peaceful melodies, while movement 3 is obviously a nightmare, and is as such unsettling and discordant. (This also applies to the structure; I'm not really good at planning music.)
In addition to this being my first orchestral piece, I've also made a step forward with the video production itself; I'm now actually editing a score video together. It's still not perfect- the video is low quality and there's a lot of errors in the score- but it's a whole lot better than the mess that happened with Trombone Fever.
