    Super! I got formNX because it had google sheets integrated already but you’ve convinced me of this as well. Can you talk about how submissions are viewed/exported?

    • @dave-swift

      Absolutely! You can have the submissions emailed to you, notifications posted to Slack/Discord, connect via Zapier, or export via CSV.

    You are doing a marvellous job with this content. Can you do a video using this platform to create a form which can be link to a statistical application? Thank would be helpful.

      Thank you!
      You can export the results of forms to a CSV and import them anywhere you need for analysis. You could even upload to ChatGPT or Claude and have AI analyze it.

    Excellent video tutorial Dave. Thank you! Do you know if you can set languages other than English?

    • @dave-swift

      The UI is english only, but I just told it to make me a website audit request form in Spanish. I'm a dumb American (not multi-lingual) Is this good? opnform.com/forms/solicitud-de-auditoria-de-sitio-web-zsqcka

      Sí! Yes! It worked! Gracias and thank you so much for giving it a @@dave-swift!
      Working it (UI) in English I have no problem myself, but I was just thinking this tool for deploying Spanish-speaking forms for clients and it worked!
      Thanks again for creating a test for me. :)

      Not sure where my reply went @@dave-swift :(
      But let me say it again then, it worked!!!
      Thank you so much for giving it a try! Gracias!!!

      I can see both replies now, YT is sometimes very aggressive with its spam filtering.
      For anyone reading, I have NEVER deleted a comment unless it was obviously spam or just insulting with no value add (yay the internet!).

    Other than open source, still trying to figure out what advantages this has over other builders, specifically recent/correct LTD options (Make, FormNX, BlockSurvey, Bit)

    • @dave-swift

      AI Prompting & Open Source are two pretty big advantages, -- of the forms you mentioned only Make has AI and it wasn't sold by AppSumo... so you don't get the 60 day return policy.
      Also $199 for unlimited is the best deal. I'm to the point with LTDs that I only buy from developers I know and AppSumo.

    I came to your channel after seeing your screen studio video. How come you don’t use it for your current videos?

    • @dave-swift

      I edit in Final Cut and Screen Studio takes forever to export.

    • @designerfars

      @@dave-swift you can record your screen in Screen Studio and do the total edit in Final Cut right?

    • @dave-swift

      Yes, but to get footage out of Screen Studio and into Final Cut takes a very long time.
      I record 45 minutes of screen for a 30min video. That takes about 2 hours to export from screen studio. It’s not practical for long videos for me.

    Timestamps would be good. Does it skirt fitness with dynamic filed/row addition? That's missing in most

    • @dave-swift

      Can you explain "skirt fitness with dynamic filed/row additon'? Not following.
      However OpnForm has both Conditional Logic (fields display based on the results of answers to other forms) and Url Form Prefill
      (Create dynamic links with prefilled form fields)
      Is that helpful?

    • @moses5407

      OMG .. spellwrecker at work and play. Sorry about that. I meant does it have dynamic field/row addition? That is, can users add additional fields or rows of fields as needed while filling the form?

    • @dave-swift

      I see, you're looking for something like an ACF repeater field.
      The best you can do currently with OpnForm is conditional logic, so make a field appear if another field has an answer.

    Is this like WS form? As far as I know WS form is the best so far, let me know it is a truly an alternative to it?

    • @dave-swift

      Big distinction - WS is a WordPress plugin.
      This is not.

  • @Lucas-kp9ws

    Does it play well within Wordpress (I suppose as an embedded form)? Also, any issues with transactional emails (on its own or within WP)?

    • @dave-swift

      Yep, just embed!
      No issues with emails. They send from OpnForm and you set a reply to address.

    Dave, I noticed in all the videos you say you can use it "for life". But you really should be clear and say "the companies life", not a human lifetime.

      Whichever ends first. 🤣

    Have the terms "open source" & "self-hosted" changed in meaning over the years?
    You say that the Git-Hub files can be downloaded ( I assume the Builder is installed on a user's computer) & then "hosted" on that user's website/app server.
    BUT, you shift immediately to the 3 tier plans for "Lifetime deals" -- One Fee will give the user "forms for life".
    This is where the website is NOT clear at all. I've read the terms over & over and looked all over the site.
    If it was really & truly "open source" as in the longtime definition then getting any paid plan would not Limit the number of domains a user could install his or her forms on.
    Please go into more depth about what a Developer who uses the Git-Hub app installation can NOT do, domain installation wise, that a purchaser Can do.
    I understand that any of the plans makes the online dashboard of this app available for creating custom forms that are saved in the user account.
    And that the AI features are kept as IN-House processed API sources.
    So, please, what functionality is missing with a locally hosted app that is online hosted at a user's own server?

    • @dave-swift

      This video is about the hosted service.
      You’re free to download the files and run them on your own server as well.
      Most open source software functions this way. WordPress, Ghost, Discourse all have paid hosted offerings but also make the software free to download and use as you’d like. 👍
      Features or limitations often apply to open source project, but you have the source code so you can always fork it as needed.
