- The 5th Generation Camaro came with a very special version, the Z28. The previous generation of Camaro, there was little to separate the z28 from other trim packages. The 5th generation Camaro Z28 was very different though! With upgraded aerodynamics, wide fenders, and several hundreds of pounds of weight saved over the high horsepower ZL1. Carbon Ceramic brakes, 7.0L LS7 engine, and Z28 only wheels helped to really make this version something special. With only 1800 models made in total, they are not common to see at all.
When we had the opportunity to fix one of these monsters, we couldn't resist. In this video we complete the body work repairs with the help of Tim at Industry Garage/Street Bandito. Then we throw the z28 on the dyno at local Anderson Performance East. Lastly, we wrap the video up with a numbers break down of how much we have into the repair on this special z28.

The old owner was a interesting character! I most definitely recognize this car because of the green wheels. The motor has a lot of work done to it.
Honestly the costs seem pretty good, there is always people that think it could've all been done way cheaper, but they are never the ones actually doing it, I think you did well.

very specific buyer, it will probably take a long time to sell this but i'm confident you can get at least 55-60 for it. that title is a killer, problem is the parts seperate were not worth 40k but the sum of them is barely more as well
I don’t think so. You can pick up a clean title, low milage one for under 50k.

Using a new quarter will save a ton of time... removing the old one from the section you dropped would have taken a lot of time and really easy to mess up. These new cars have some much extra foam and so on. As someone who rebuilds cars, you'll make far more money selling parts than rebuilding them lol

I noticed the strip is a little messed up, driver's rear on the roof. Hopefully that is an easy fix. Also, I know the wheels really pop, but I find in a good way. I'd normally say, paint them as well, but in this case, I'd leave them. Good job man. Cheers 🤘🤘

That's a nice looking camero. Real great job! It's too bad it will always have that salvaged title. Would go for more money if it didn't of coarse. There should be a way to get a "fixed" title or something from chevy. Or any manufacturer.

You guys did good, without the TH-cam channel and without sponsors. The Build would of not been profitable. You did God's work here,.If you didn't pick it up, it would of been scrapped to pieces and never be a whole car again. This Z28 deserved another chance.

Fifth GEN. Z/28 Camaro is one of my dream cars. I wish I had the financing to get this
The Camaro market is a very touchy subject but I don't think you'll have a problem getting what you want for it. Camaro owners for the most part have no problem opening their wallets for special builds and the Z28 is highly desirable.
The price is never too much if you like it, can afford it, and wanna do it. I’d keep it and drive it for awhile, that would be priceless.
I'll be happy finding a Complete rear from a 2012-2013 SS Automatic from rotor to rotor and everything included ..
Yes there really isn't any room to make any decent kind of money on this car but the content value for the TH-cam money is there.

I get it. Its hard watching some vids...but this was hard for a different reason. I bought a 14 V6 Camaro as a commuter. I should have bought the Z28 on the lot because life had changed and didnt need a cheaper commuter, and could have afforded the Z28. But thats life. I just miss my 5th gen Camaro. I loved it. I had to trade it in to make a deal work for my Super Stock. But damn...I really miss that silly little car.
Anyone out there, that bought a use Red Rock Metallic Camaro from Chapman Dodge in late 2022...I have the window sticker and other original type stuff. I want to give that to you. Would love to make a video with that thing again.

I buy a car to drive it! That title would not make a difference! In close to you guys I may drive by see if I get lucky and see it at your shop. My grandson loves looking in the door and seeing all the parts.

Salvage title cars are good if the car was repaired correctly,unfortunately, people use the fact that it has a salvage title to try to say its worth less,however I you factor in the miles and your buying g the car because you personally like it and see it's worth than it's a great deal,If I had the cash I'd buy this based on the miles alone and seeing the condition,it's worth it IMO
