Good stuff, man. I know these videos are quite old already, but they've been useful for me. I have been working on getting my 25+ year-old 880EX up and running, and I finally did. Now, of course, I'm having to reacquaint myself with its recording mechanics, as I haven't used it in over 15 years. It's an old machine, but quite fitting for an old dog like me. BTW, I dig the music. Sounds like a nice, chill country tune.
@MjrHop I really don't know. Back in the day when I bought the one I have it cost me $700.00. Roland came out with their version which was the second version and I believe they called it VS-CDRII. So just check around on the net & ebay ect. You may find one pretty reasonable.

@hsjmusic Thanks a lot. And how is that, or one like it, likely to cost?
do you know some way to take track audio from VS 880 and export them as .wav file to my own pc?

@MjrHop I used the original burner that first came out for the VS-880. It is a QPS SCSI Burner.
Would be great to know what CD burner you used
What CD burner did you use?
if I can't get my hands on a cd burner that is compatible, how do I rip the audio from the vs880?
Two tracks at a time, left and right.
