Awesome showcase of the grom. To answer your question towards the end of your video I PROBABLY wouldn’t upgrade to brushless. I would use the grom as a basher. Jumping off ramps and general stupid stuff. I find when bashing I have a sweet zone for speed. Fast enough to get some air and air control but slow enough to actually line the jump up. Hard to say. The more I study the grom the more I’m impressed how capable it is at high speeds. Anyway awesome video 👍
I’m using tamiya rally block tires and the wheels are also from tamiya. They’re meant for a rally touring car but work great on there. I’m using a 2s since the motor kv was so high
Looked very fun brushless, bit its even more ass happy. I like all 4 wheels on yhe ground. Ran mine today against a traxxas udi slash with a big upgraded power system. Bone stock ot was almost as fast! No.bs almost as fast. Oh ya he was on 4s and i was bpne stocl 2s. Wish i had it on film.
I'm new to the hobby... only been into rc's for a few months and I consider myself a Traxxas guy seeing as how I own 3 traxx crawlers. I've kinda been thinking I want a basher but before I go off and spend 5-6 hundred on one I wanted to maybe pick one of these small groms out to test the waters. Would you recommend this one or just save my money and go all out for a nice full size traxx basher???
I personally started with a 2wd slash. In hindsight I felt it was the perfect rc to get introduced into the hobby. Not too expensive and there are tons of upgrades. Plus side you learn on a 2wd you’ll be a pro with a 4wd rc!
Those tires look awesome on it
KILLING IT BROTHER

Fair enough!
Cool video bro.

What tires/wheels are you using? What battery are you using for 3s. Building mine up right now, thanks.

@@KevnRC wow that's a lot kv...I've got my micro x2 on order 4500kv
Horizon also released full metal spider gear diffs..Also got those coming for the Grom👍
@@nickkramer3974 I like to do things a little bit crazy haha. I only ran it on 2s!
1 other question..Did you use the factory motor mount?
Imma need one asap, you have them in stock?
Within a few weeks. They were quick to the backorder list before we had a chance!
Is best Traxxas latrax teton?
I personally am a fan of this one opposed to the traxxas variant of the size.
can’t wait to get me one you got to show me how I’m new
Dm me on Instagram I’m sure to help!
I think Arrma has a metal CVD upgrade kit.
They absolutely do and they’re on order!
CVD has left the chat. Haaaaaaa.
That’s what I said 😂🤙🏾
kia kev
👀
buy an hbx 16890...arrma took too long to launch a small basher and not even that way they learned how to make a small reliable RC!
I’ve heard good things about it! I have a different opinion on the grom! I’m a big fan of mine and haven’t had any major issues whatsoever!
