When it comes to Audio Drama/Comedy, there's the Firesign Theatre. They inhabit an entire universe of their own. Check out the album, I Think We're All Bozos On This Bus for some wild psychedelic sci-fi comedy. There's also an album done by one of the Firesigns, David Ossman called How Time Flys.
This is very Douglas Adam/Red Dwarf inspired stuff and I love it.
