V Somashekhar pioneered the art of making action films that had politics as their backbone. Chakravyuha thrilled the audience with a story that saw the hero firing the corrupt politicians. Gajendra, probably for the first ever time in India (as per my knowledge), explored the honeytrap angle in politics. Kempaiah IPS and Parashuram had a racy screenplays. Prathap was a class apart; Mr. Raja starring Ambarish again, dealt with the nexus between builder mafia and politicians. I haven't watched Bete and Sarkarakke Saval. Ranabheri was awesome due to Vajramuni, Prabhakar, and Ambarish. SP Bhargavi too had politics and if I am not wrong, it was THE FILM that gave Malashree the action heroine image. Other works such as Mrugalaya, Vijaya Khadga that Mr Somashekhar directed for the legendary MP Shankar, were good too. Chitralekha was good too. Bedi is looking awesome, but I don't think this video has the full movie. Please upload the full movie. It appears that the industry has forgotten this talented film maker. But he lives in the hearts of his fans. I am a fan of Mr. V Somashekhar; any other fans of his, here?
