The Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite musicals! The masquerade scene is my favorite part of the show! The Red Death costume is my favorite costume in the whole show! I love the Phantom he's my favorite character! I have played him using the CD recordings of this classic show!
I wish they had been able to work out Red Death’s original exit effect: having him cloaked in more fabric, and carrying his skull staff from the 1925 film. There would have been a wire armature of the Phantom’s frame within the costume, so when he drops into the trap door, his costume stays standing for a few moments longer, only to drop as if it were truly possessed by a ghost. The staff would have been placed in a secret hole in the stage, holding it still, where it would have been the anchor for the frame.
Runar Hellström I hate to be that guy but, in fact* the Novel describes the phantoms mask as an alarmingly lifelike “deaths head” an unfortunate patron who was so taken by its realism dares an attempt to touch the mask and Erik (The Phantom) breaks the guys hand! Because it may have been his own face simply painted. Or his disfigurement allows him to wear a very snug skull mask on his face at that point the book leaves that part to the readers imagination...
Just making sure before i place order if this is the full show beginning to end with no cuts except intermission, and also if during darker scenes if it easy to see or if it is really blurry like most. thanks.
@@phantomlover2594 The movie had to have him all dashing and looking like a GQ model, which is just so stupid because this looks so much cooler. Thats what people are rightly criticizing/
@@dar-nakkallig but here's the thing, because it shows the phantom could be beaten in a swordfight, it makes a plot hole where the plan to catch him seems overly complicated, as they could easily bum rush him, and it's even dumber when you take in account in the book where he was a trained assassin

Yes, complete show minus intermission. Dark scenes fairly visible, looks consistently like the clip I posted.
