Another thing is the narrative that WVU can not compete with the big boys has to stop, because if you keep believing that then it will come to fruition. Everyone needs to believe that we can compete, we need to have that mindset and eventually that will relate to winning against the big boys. Positive energy equates to positive results whereas negative energy brings about negative results.
I truly believe WVU was able to retain players last year and will continue to retain players bc of the recruiting pitch of state culture, only team in the state, etc.. plus the Pat McAfee effect will eventually show itself like the Tavon Austin highlights did. They're celebrities here compared to being at other schools.
Bigger schools don’t necessarily mean better talent. You just have to hope that the coaching staff is extremely good at evaluating talent, because you can find talent anywhere.
the year before last year at Jackson State, there were 3 backs that pretty much split the total rushing yardage 3 ways, so you would've been correct but then Tre happened
I'm in the camp of rather having a super productive FCS or Group of 5 guy compared to a 4 star Power 4 dude who has never played any meaningful snaps in 3 years...
Higher floor for those FCS or Group of 5 guys. Ceiling is a bit lower though… if you can find the Power 4 kid who wasn’t in the right situation or playing for coaches who couldn’t motivate him? That’s when you get an All Conference level player.
I’d love to see either on the website or the next pod breaking down the biggest impact transfers for us. I guess once everything settles down

I just want to see wins ... or at least good hard hitting football.

Any College can bring in top players. All about the money and playing time.

10:11 idk why we're even trying, obviously RichRod doesn't have a chance..
A lot of the positions you're talking about West Virginia has not had for years. Like not even close.
