There are surely several ways of doing this. Most 3D simulation programs like C4D and Blender have a built in physics setting which lets you label the legos as hard moving objects and the box as a stationary collider. He could probably make it appear as if the legos fell back and forth by adding a sine curve to one of the coordinates an array object, which gives the legos their original coordinates. If you are interested, you can find plenty of tutorials on youtube and other websites. :)
I was thinking about making the game, where your goal is to make out alive from collapsing building :D Some rescuing survivors and parkour stuff would be included, but building would fall much slower, in random manner, without any scripted events (most games just want to make feel you've just escaped huge collapse or explosion, but in fact, you could have stood in place for an hour and nothing would have happened :-P ). Eh, I'm a daydreamer... Cool anims though, made me think about stuff :)
first, change blender render to blender game, then make sure you objects use convex hull for the collision geometry(its much faster than triangle mesh) then go to the game menu up at the top of blender and turn on the option that says record animation. it creates a keyframe for every frame so it is intensive on your computer, but it should work. start small though XD. oh. if its just a box, dont use convex hull. use just box in the physics tab.
Ideally, I'd want a game like your idea where it's more realistic (i.e, not necessarily acting like a giant LEGO set) but not "brown" realistic (like CoD, Battlefield 3, etc.). I liked the color scheme in Roblox (mostly primary, bright colors) and I'm not quite sure why, I guess I like to see in-game disasters not taken CoD-level seriously on occasion.
You know, I seem to remember this one server in Roblox with a similar concept: the level was a destructable map with a hotel, complete with elevators, a helipad on the roof, a swimming pool area, etc. The building would collapse in waves where you would try to escape/put out fires/help trapped people before the building collapsed entirely. Quite fun, even if Roblox (being a kid-friendly game) tends to be on nanny watch all the time for language and such. Plus you need an account, is it worth it?
Sorry, missclicked a button :) what I meant to say was thet the impressiveness would be in the numbers of objects. But the animation is still simple to make and I don't find it more admirable because any number is greater
it takes days to do this in the most powerful computers you can get its not easy i cant do it on mine because its not powerful enough and its a good computer
This is cool although, Why do the objects appear to be falling like a fluid? With the legos, It falls like a high viscosity fluid. Shouldnt they have individual physics rather than relying on the legos in front them to determine their movement
rare footage of my lil brother putting lego in the lego box, destroying his succesful buildings, trying to build a tower with little jenga bricks, dropping his name thousand times until blender physics crashed, and dropping alot, but a LOT AND LOT... of boogers. (i dont have a lil bro tho)
how do you add physic at all object? my pc crushes and i have an i5 quad core at 3.8GHz + 8 GB ram + GTX 660TI and another question, how do you render animation physic in blender game? or exist a mode for implement physic in cycles?

My childhood…
Doctors say you can break stuff to stop the stress.
I say blender physics are the best for stoping the stress without braking anything!!!
This looks so Realistic :O
:)
Very interesting, although gravity seems very weak, as well as the friction in general
Espen Sales the modeller is bad, it seems that he made the planks 3-5 m. long
In that case, just turn up the world/simulation speed to double the value :)
Nice physic simulations.
Mega geil gemacht!
+Sodrer ein 2 tage alles rendern :) alle einlene Animationen
VoodooMan33 Oh Gott O.o
Amazing work! :D Blender is great.
Olav3D Tutorials lol bender is great!
it does look quite beautiful.
legos acting like water with very low gravity. thats right, physics!

it is can you think of thousands of objects each doing a dirfont thing? no but a computer can thats why its impressive and it looks cool
What I am trying to say is that it is a simple animation that anyone could make

nice work as blenderist
Schön gemacht, sieht gut aus =)

Not bad! I am working on the editing right now for a similar video concept, so I know how long these things take! Good work, keep it up!

Good job man, some of them are inspiring.
it's a great idea! it looks very funny.

this is so amazing
Yes, I know, but it's still just objects falling. The impressiveness would be in the numbers of
Plz tell me how to get good buildings I need to know plzzzzzzzzzzzzz p.s you are the best

Sehr gut, prima Zusammenstellung! :D
1:20 well that got trippy

it's awesome
I love it so much 😍😍😘😘😘
Please tell me how to do this. Like the legos.. How does he make them fall into a chain back and fourth???.
A whole city destruction simulation
destruction is beautiful... id love to play a game where you can destruct everything in a realistic way!
Red Faction: Guerilla is the game for you! :D
try beamng
it takes days to do this in the most powerful computers you can get its not easy i cant do it on mine because its not powerful enough and its a good computer

I was referring to the bullet OpenCL physics engine that Blender is supposed to use.
use the f curve in blender
Funny lego blocks ;P
rare footage of my lil brother putting lego in the lego box, destroying his succesful buildings, trying to build a tower with little jenga bricks, dropping his name thousand times until blender physics crashed, and dropping alot, but a LOT AND LOT...
of boogers.
(i dont have a lil bro tho)
First minute theres 2 combustings on one tower and it also rains poop appearently
Awesomness!
richtig cool

Poor people. They're in a better place now.
wow it must take forever to render these!
lol LEGOs in the beginning
awsome
great tank you very much :D
This is Pryanshfull.
u could use a video editor for that one
Cool!!!
@TheMinecraftzx No, it can get very annoying trying to build something to break and getting it to render.
This is... 'No description available'
I'm assuming this is using bullet?
u use so many items using aarray?
awesome
What am I doing with my life.
Stupid things xD
Hay
Tristan Van Der pijl
MatMan humano
wer braucht schon domino day....
zene erstellt 2 stunde, rendern 14 stunden
0:35 WHAT IS THIS THING?!!.. ARE YOU OKAY?!!..
tutorial?
The title says blender so im guessing it uses blender...And dont Rely on a reply, VoodooMan33 is german.
Was hast du derzeit für ein System? :)
1:30 now if we could do that to the gta 5 water dam. lol
if the video is speeded up 2x then it would be more realistic.
2:31 Code Geass strategy.
How you created the slowmotion at voodooman ? 1:00-1:09 .
WHERE DO I DOWNLOAD
0:58 - brick on the right-hand corner... like a boss!
do a blender physics from twin towers
How long was this rendering?
woohooo!
1:45WAIT A MINUTE IT PUTTED THE LOGO ANTIVIRUS ON THE DESTROYED BUILDING
What rendering mode do you use? it looks like cycles to me but I'm not so sure
normal rendering
VoodooMan33 oh alright so just Blender Render, i could never make BRI look this good, always turned out looking plasticy
Große Inhalte! Aber Sie brauchen, um eine Beschreibung hinzuzufügen.
wow so stoned that i watch this ahhahaah
no problemo
detonate by wildebeest games. is a bit like this.
Battlefield 3 bräuchte Physics wie bei 1:56 :D
1:08, saw that MAN?
Somehow I got here from We Are Number One
@xXFragged1Xx von allen?
ne woche zirka mit 4kerne a 3,00ghz
wie machst du das?!
Try keep this comment even
Fail

Could use sound.
WOW
hi, i'm english. I appear to be lost, any help?
Kann man sich das irgendwo downloaden ? Also deine Objekte ?
