When I was in year 10 (I studied at an international school in kuala lumpur), my whole year (including students from the 3 other campuses around Malaysia) had a school trip to Philippines for a week :D We trekked up Mount Pinatubo and it took us approximately 10 hours to finish the journey back and forth D: We had to start the trek so far off from the foot of the volcano due to all the lahar and mini river streams (we could've taken the 4x4 to the foot but my school was evil D:). It was a really hard trek but I recommend you to go for it! The 4x4 ride to the drop off site was one of my favorites :D
that's the reason before why I stopped vlogging because of the other people but I do the same thing that you are doing going to a corner inside a resto hahaha but now I am used to it. :)
Some can be full filipino and speak english perfectly. I think it just depends if your family used English in the house or if you grew up learning English in school :)
