- Proton beam Therapy At the #JohnsHopkins Proton Therapy Center, the action starts in a huge particle accelerator known as a synchrotron, where protons spin at ultra-fast speeds before making their journey to treatment rooms. Here's a look at how the process unfolds. #ProtonTherapy Visit us www.hopkinsmed...
Amazing thank you for all you do. History will remember you all as Heroes!❤
amazing engineering!
Yo this actual sounds like science fiction
What are beams and beam stability in particle accelerator?
wow
Does the 5 mm-wide proton beam have a visible color? Or is it invisible?
It's invisible.
@@giantweevil2737 The animation for these vids shouldn't use all these colors. Maybe just use gray dotted lines or something.
Can you answer please how the proton beam get out of the track? Through which principle?
My guess is electromagnetism. Protons have a positive electric charge. The track creates a forward directional positive electric field, inducing repulsion between the field and the protons. The lighter mass protons are moved toward the end of the track at the tip of the gantry. At the end, the protons' inertia and momentum carry them the last little distance into the area within the patient.
As Texas BEAST explains but with the use of ying yang magnets and pinch/difusion ring magnets. The ying yang magnets are similar to those found at the back of an old cathode ray vacuum TV tube and are used in steering the charged particle beam. The pinch ring magnets focus or diffuse the beam to better suit the target tumor size. The beam can be as wide as a golf ball or hair thin depending on the target.
Bruh how did I end up here
I was actually reading about a certain toothpaste, and it mentioned synchrotron so I ended up investigating more on the subject.😅
So cute 🥰 so gigantic and costly machine for a tiny human
What’s a proton? 😂
You better be no older than 14, cause that is some outrageous ignorance. It’s one of the three particles that every single atom in your body is made of.
Positive charge nucleon
