I swear to god, why is there always one of you in the comment section patting an actor always specifically from the Tudors in the back for their performance? There are much better and more accurate pieces of media

@@matthewconnolly8628 why does that bother you? Why so pressed? And i do agree there are more accurate media but this isnt about accuracy, but who is their favourite. I think every actress was good, but maybe they just liked that version? I dont see problem at all.

@@fangirlinneverland6335 If you want the real reason why I am so pressed I am just kind of irritable by nature and it was late at night, but lit is irritating to see people post in every comment section about why the Tudors was their favorite when it really butchers history, not reasonable though and something I need to work on

It’s funny to watch how the costumes, hairdos and even mannerisms change from generation to generation, according to the norms of the time!

The costumes should never change in style. You are correct.

I thought Anne Stallybrass was wonderful as Jane. Jane tends to be overshadowed by the more dramatic Anne, but Ms Stallybrass made her interesting and sympathetic, really created her as a complete character. She and Keith Michell were also very convincing as a couple, I enjoyed watching Jane and Henry's marriage.

I agree that she most closely resembles the historical Jane in appearance and temperament (as far as we can know someone from so long ago).

@@patriciahayes2664 I'll go even further. Of all the dozens of actresses who played any of the Wives, she was my favorite. Elvi Hale as Anne of Cleves was a close second. That 1970 BBC version has been my Tudor gold standard ever since.

@@Silver_Owl Well, it's just my opinion. You don't have to agree or disagree. What I said isn't a universal statement, so, each to their own. That said, all of the six women played their own significant role - to a lesser or greater extent, in a positive or negative way - in shaping up the dynasty, so, each deserves an attention of course. I haven't said Jane Seymour isn't anything important. She is. Let's leave that here.

@@lol4lol993catb rin of Aragon is the least interesting to me and iv read a ton on Henry and his wife and times...followed by Anne of cleves closely, then Catherine parr, then Jane, then Catherine and Howard and Anne Boleyn, who imo are two of the most interesting women in history.
Jane is really fascinating. Anne was absolutely a stunning, dramatic, charismatic woman, she changed history with Henry and then she was followed by Jane..who contemporaries say was not pretty, super pale, and kinda blah..yet she bested Anne in a way and at her own game..was it Jane who did it all or was a pawn of her family, and why did Henry suddenly love her so much..there are so many questions surrounding Jane.

    Good tribute 👍💖
Jane is certainly an enigma, we just don't know much about her character to judged her fairly.
Anne Stallybrass is usually seen as the best portrayer of Jane Seymour. Jane Asher is not bad either.
Emilia Fox really looks the part of Jane. She has that demure, kinda pretty, kinda plain quality about her. Shame she had such bad material to work with.
As for The Tudors, I preferred Anita Briems portrayal. She portrayed Jane as demure, sweet, unassuming but sneaky. Annabelle Wallis was too modern for the role.
