In Ohio we always had the fire drills, which meant we would go line up outside for 5 or 10 minutes and enjoy the sun, and tornado drills which meant we lined up in the hallways in the tucked-in-a-little-ball position.

How can the mf adults who oppose change live with their disgusting selves knowing these young people are at risk?

It's super weird I spent my schooling learning about kids ducking for cover from atomic bombs under wooden desks and my adulthood watching kids hide from shooters behind wooden desks. If the actual answer to this problem wasn't painfully obvious (I grew up in Australia, which has significant gun control, so I never had to do any of this) I'd suggest building stronger desks.
My school Osceola Elementary had a lockdown a minute ago while 3rd, 4th, and 5th were at Sports Club in the cafeteria, Every single student was yelling while the 5th and 4th graders were quiet, same as ME, the police came from the front left door, hearing yelling, and letting us out.
This happens to me so context, First week of school I’m in my history class doing a test *BEEP* Students And Teachers this is a lockdown due to an inside threat we were SCARED. Turns out they were testing out the intercom I hate that day. Still can’t stop thinking what could’ve happened if it was real, still scared but not as much.
