I'd recommend using a guitar or a keyboard or something as an aid if you're going to tune your sitar. I have a chromatic tuner, and videos like this helped, but having someone on guitar to play the notes I needed made all the difference. If you Google sitar tuning you'll find a site that lists the note equivalents on guitar and keyboard so you can use those to compare your sitar tuning against
Thank you so much. It not only provides a tuning aid, but is explanatory in that it leaves no ambiguity with the configuration. I have been looking for this.
I tune the sympathetic strings in a C scale downward. Start on the shortest string (the one closest to your face) and tune it to the same pitch (C) as the last string in this video. Then one half step down (B) on the next string. One whole step down on the next string (A), and so on...keep going down the C scale until you run out of strings. This works for me. There are other ways to do it, but this sounds to me like George Harrison's tuning on Love You To. I hope this helps.

Video útil, fácil de entender, ¿podría publicar uno que muestre cómo afinar las 11 o 13 cuerdas resonantes, si es posible? Helpful Video , Easy To Understand , Could You Post One Showing How To Tune The 11 or 13 Resonant Strings , If Possible ?.
It is highly unusual a sitar tuned to C... I have been playing for 20 years and have never seen one yet. Most sitars are tuned to something in the range from C# to D (even D# in the case of small sitars). I have only used a C tuning for a fusion recording, and the sound becomes dull, even adjusting string gauges
Most sitar players use C tuning for modern music, especially when you play with keyboards, guitar, etc... But I appreciate your comment. I think I'm gonna make a C# tuning video. Stay alert. Thanks!!
But, as far Sitar goes, is not the standard to tune it to D instead of C? I mean, open Baaj string tuned to lower octave G thus making the 7th fret middle octave D?

Tube Tuning Instruments yeah I just started sitar and that would be really helpful
Thanks, but you only tuned 1/2 the instrument!
Then what would I do
Why is it that different strings are tuned in different scales ? I have seen this for guitars too...
निचे के तार केशे ट्यून करे प्लीज हमे बताए ओर विडियो डाले
Se puede usar afinador cromático para afinar

For some people, standard tuning is C#. Some modern players prefer C
I could never tune last string without it breaking. The highest note I get is a Pa above Sa.
es posible subir afinación en G, it is possible to raise tuning in G
Hay otro vídeo de sitar en este canal con la afinación G, por si te interesa
