Why the LP was so short? Could have added a few songs. And could have re-issued a double/triple CD with unreleased material for fans when first CD appeared. Imagine the treat!
Track 13 (31:38) is one of those tracks which haunts you at the dawning of the sun, when you did not went to bed for the whole night and you find yourself in a lonesome room, with a strange morning light. In these moments it seams like nobody is awake except of you. It seems like the world is standing still and that you are free to do whatever you like to do with your life. But in the same way, you know that you are alone with this. As well as that you will be alone with it forever. And you move upon the face of the darkness. Floating. Falling. Then you can see everything so clear.
This album has 3 of best tracks of Vangelis, and a track that made a global impact in recording history with many tracks similar to it now. Not really embryonic period was already master. the embryonic period was the 1965-1969 period.
J adore !
@@Flavio9691 Vangelis had massive amounts of unreleased tracks like this..I bet he listened to them often and decided to use them as inspiration for new material
Very nice soundtrack for a good French TV production, only a bit marred by a very primitive instrumentation in the keyboards department... Hammond organ, Hohner Clavinet, Fender Rhodes, Selmer Clavioline and piano... and no synthesizers at all in 1972!!?? It's also noticeable a Korg drum machine, flutes, vibraphone and multiple percussion devices,,, but also some additional guitar by Silver Koulouris, violin by Michel Ripoche and flugehorn by Charis Chalkitis, all uncredited in the record sleeve.
50:00 in this part and probably in other parts of this record, this is a 12 string acoustic guitar I think, with a lot of effects, I like it ! It's played by Vangelis?
@@fansey6609 I was looking info yesterday, and it seems that in interviews, he commented that he really enjoyed playing acoustic instruments. May be he is the only musician on the album!
I hope they release all his compositions one day

Great question! Not being disrespectful, but his early 1970s works tend to resonate the most with me.

thank you so very much !!!!!!!!!! 🙏
Thank you so much for this! Great to hear some new material from this very inspired period. Love the ending of track 10 for instance. A real gift....
Indeed, it would have fitted perfectly in the final album. Track 11 would be perfect in "China".

Track 19 we can hear a previous melody that can be heard on the sonig Spiral

Most probably Silver Koulouris, but maybe a session player...
It sounds like grand piano strings to me...
hello, thank you for sharing this very valuable rarity. I guess this is transfered from studio reel to reel tapes? Whats the original source please?
Just to know, are these amazing musics royalty free ?
