Omg thank you so much for making such an awesome review! It's exactly what I've searched for. Having skated for 15 years, now almost exclusively skating aggressively/outdoors/parks, it's been really hard finding a review on these from a more experienced skater. No offense to any newbies lol! They just don't have the information I need on specs/longevity, etc. I also broke my right ankle last year skating (first injury amazingly), so this was perfect. Im glad your ankle healed up too! Hope to see more vids from you in the future!!! ❤️
Great review on these skates. I’m anxious to try mine once they arrive. I ordered a custom set, and what’s funny is that I’ve been downsizing and selling my Lollys. I do love my Panthers because they’re wider in the toe box and slightly lower than the other Moxi skates. I noticed the Parkstars are similar. Not a park skater, strictly into skating for recreation. What’s nice is that skater tech stuff is universal! Thanks for your input. 🙂
Just curious how these are as far as comfort around the ankle. Is there any padding, Achilles padding or anything. Its hard to tell from any pics I've seen. I want a supportive boot but also not one that feels like a leg prison if you know what I mean 😂
Thanks for another great video! I just got the parkstars and am now looking for slide blocks. Do you like the disco blox? We're they straightforward install on the tracer plate?
Hello and thank you! ☺️ yes, the Discoblox have been great for learning basic stalls and slides and they were super easy to install on my Bont Parkstars. I have the Tracer plate, so your installation experience may be different if you have a different type of plate. I hope this helps 😊😊
Hi! There’s no reason why you couldn’t wear these skates while skating indoors ☺️ unfortunately, I don’t do a lot of rink skating as there’s nothing near me, so I’m not currently able to suggest good indoor wheels. Sorry!
Greatly thought review, thank you! I’m looking to back into skating and I was willing to give quads a try after more than a decade doing inline skating and I’m shocked to see park quads have such soft boots, how can your ankles survive indeed?
Yes! That is the biggest difference with the boot. I bought some aggressive inlines and I found it so strange how rigid they are! There are some builds that people have done where they mount quad plates onto inline boots that you might consider. Good luck with your quad skating adventure!!!
@@geekgirlskates9310 yes I saw those conversions but are quite limited you have either to remove the soul plate and drill the boot or use the only UFS compatible plate out there which is the Toto Ghali. The latter route is tempting but the plate is crazy expensive and often out of stock :(
This was incredibly informative! It made me confident in my choice to buy some bont skates. I have a wishbone slide blocks do you think those would fit? If not which slide blocks do you have?
Great video! Do you know if there's a price difference between the vegan option and the non vegan option? Also do you know what color the vegan option comes in? Thanks in advance!
Good questions! It looks like the leather and vegan options cost the same, but currently the vegan option only comes in black. However, Bont will do custom orders.
Thanks! This boot, is it a newer style? I tried on a Bont Park boot a few years ago at Big Foot shop in Milwaukee, and I loved the wider toe box and lower heel, compared to the 19th century design of classical figure skating boots. but this Bont had zero ankle support compared to my Jackson figure skating boots. The Bont boots I tried were solid fuchsia as well as a tomato suede color. I couldn’t buy it as I like my ankle support. Maybe yours is a new model?
Hi! 👋 good question 😊 and it’s interesting to hear your perspective. From what I understand, the Bont Parkstar skates are all the same model, just different colour options. I completely get what you’re saying about ankle support when compared to a more traditional skate boot. I haven’t worn skates like that for a long long time, so had forgotten, but your comment has reminded me of how stiff and rigid they can be (although mine were ice skates)! Do you do park skating in your Jackson boots?
@@geekgirlskates9310 yes. I have a dance assembly, as I wasn't dancing anymore: roll line Mistral's, Jackson boot, and after I trashed the bones 101A wheels and ceramic bearings, (please don't use this assembly at a park! Though it performed flawlessly, you can buy more appropriate assemblies cheaper). I like the firm ankles, but I want the square toe box and low heel of the park stars. Right now I'm altering some riedell silver stars w help of a cobbler and a leather guild I belong. Diy boots!
I have pulse 78A wheels, with bones red bearings, which are super fast. I don't mind the 78As because the bearings are so fast, and the softer wheels are nice for the crappy cement surfaces, small stones, debris at the skate parks.
@@flyingcat2054 wow! that sounds like an amazing set-up. Hope your new set up is just as amazing. I'd love to see them when they're done. If you're on Instagram, tag me in a post of your skates :)
Hi, I normally wear US 8/ UK 6/EU39, but based on the Length and width of my foot the Bont website suggested I am a Bont size 6. This fit the length and width of my foot perfectly 😊
Would you be able to help me figure out my bont size. My foot measured 228.6 in length and 101.6 in width. My Riddell skates are a 5. I'm wondering if I should order a 3 or 3.5 in bont size? 🙏
@@pamelaasher5017 I would call them and talk with someone there. They will be able to guide you as to what size you should get based off your measurements. I have to call myself because I have 1 foot that's "narrow" and the other is considered wide. My measurements say I need a 6.5 but I don't want the narrow foot to have too much room. They do offer custom sizing in case you need 2 diff sized boots as well.

Toebox room is unmatched
This is an amazing skatepark. Would you mind sharing where it’s located please? I have so much trouble finding smaller 1/2 pipes

Which skates do you use for derby?
They make replacement toe bumpers!
Yes! I saw Shortstop’s video that talked about replacing the bumper! I’m hoping this means I’ll get a lot of use out of these skates 😁

hi, do you know what leather they are made of? thanks
Hi! Bont's website just says the outer and inner leather in suede, but they don't give any more details than that.
