Hi Belinda, really enjoy your videos, they are very helpful! I am learning the I-Ching myself, and am curious as to the effect the changing lines have from the “victory” hexagram? Should these be taken into account since the Yin and Yang lines can go in both directions? Hope this is an ok question, still finding my way with it, but your videos are helping a lot! Thank you 🙏
Awesome that you are learning the I Ching and thank you for being here! Nice question! The flow goes from present hex and the changing lines that comes towards the relating/outcome/victory hexagram. You could read it backwards but I would struggle to work out what that would tell you or how you would interpret it. Another approach is that any hexagram can transform into any other hexagram, so if you have a current hex you have cast and you want a specific victory hex, then the changing lines that make it so would be the focus areas to be dealt with to realise the outcome you want, if that makes sense? 😀
@@IChingCafe thanks so much for your reply🙂🙏 yes, that makes sense. I noticed that there was a correlation on the two hexagrams with the changing lines. It seemed to tell a story of one state leading to another, this resonated with the questions I had asked and made sense to me. This was why I asked 🙂 so now I read the changing lines on both hexagrams, and where it’s yin, this implies a starting state/ possibility leading to the Yang which is the final state/ possibility. Or at least, that’s where I’m at with it 🙂 I’m still not convinced I’m reading it right! So, as mentioned, your videos, and your interpretations of the changing lines are really helpful 🙏
