The ref could have ended the fight and had the judges score the last round before the illegal knee and gave Petr a 2 point foul deduction. Which would have ended the fight as a majority draw. The belt wouldn’t have switched hands. Instead, Mark Smith (the ref) called it an intentional foul and disqualified Petr. In the end, Mark smith may have fucked himself, this was the first title fight he officiated and he showed a myriad of mistakes.

To be fair they're pretty low where they're sitting and they're only seeing one angle. Shit might just look different than it does on the multi angled camera shots, we see at home... Especially in terms of who's landing more shots in a fight like that, it also matters who it looks like is controlling the fight (IE who's moving forward, who's moving back). Sure it's easier to not consider the tangibles and just hop on whatever bandwagon is going atm.

I believe you can’t call it a no contest after it reaches the 3rd or 4th round. They did have other options, though. The ref could have ended the fight and had the judges score the last round before the illegal knee and gave Petr a 2 point foul deduction. Which would have ended the fight as a majority draw. The belt wouldn’t have switched hands.
Instead, Mark Smith (the ref) called it an intentional foul and disqualified Petr. In the end, Mark smith may have fucked himself, this was the first title fight he officiated and he showed a myriad of mistakes.

Soccer kicks should be legal. You can't ban strikes because they're too effective. If that's the case, all strikes should be illegal because they could result in a knockout, and getting knocked out isn't safe or healthy for the fighters.
