So, in case you're interested in the interview that's in the middle of the live footage, I translated it. I'm not saying that this is a perfect translation and if you have any improvals, please write a reply to this comment. Interviewer: Now it's getting serious. I'm in Helloween's tour bus and I'm greeting Andi to my left and Michael to my right. Michael: Hello! Interview: And we will already start with _Helloween Live_ . [Live Footage - We Burn] I: About the new record: There are more than a few that compare it to the masterpieces of the "early" and "middle phase" [of the band]. Is that one hundred percent a compliment for you or are you saying that you don't really want to sound like you did on _Keeper of the Seven Keys_ ? M: Well, I'm more disappointed when people say that, I don't know why. Or maybe it is good... No, I mean we were intending to somehow go back to where we were. And you have to achieve that musically, first. I: I did get the impression that if you join Helloween, you'll have to integrate yourself into a concept that's been existing for much longer [than you're in the band]. Andi: Musically, yes. That was also a lot of fun, because I've known the freaking records for nine years now and I've grown to love them. I: So you joined as a fan? A: I wouldn't say as a fan but I mean, if he [points at Michael] was a fan of mine I was also a fan of his. I: Is it suiting you more that you're no longer a heartthrob but a serious front-man? M: He already was that before... A: I don't want to undermine myself by saying, or admitting, that I wasn't a serious front-man before. I: Yeah, but your portrayal by the media... I mean the teenage press really threw itself at you. I got the feeling that the music stayed behind a bit on that. M: Well, his portrayal by the media... A: That might be true, but that whole "Teenage Rockstar thing" was never something I was aiming for. I stopped washing my hair now [*grins into camera*] and that seems to work. [Live Footage - Wake Up the Mountain] I: Is the rumour true that you can't say the names of certain ex-band members without having to put 50 Marks into the band's box. M: Well, you can find out yourself. I: Michael Kiske! Andi and Mike: 50 Marks! A: That's more of an inside joke because in the end there's one thing that's frustrating: You have to say those names, even though you don't want to, because journalists always ask. What angers me the most is that people are still asking for Kai - Though I don't have anything against Kai, I even like him because we I meet him at the ice cream shop and they're rehearsing like 300 meters away from us... M: That can be quite funny actually... A: He's a nice guy, I don't have anything against him- What I find a bit sad though, is that Roland, who's been playing in the band longer now than Kai ever has, is still being seen as the "new guitarist". That's where I say 'Hey, stop there for a minute!'... I mean, I really don't need to hear that name anymore. M: It's probably also not that funny for the other members of the other unnamed band. I mean they're sitting there, having a career, they're working their arses off to sell records, and they go to the studio and do this and do that- But no one ever asks about that. It's always "When's he returning to that band?" and "Can't you..." and- What about those guys, they're also doing their job! [Live Footage - Sole Survivor] A: The real supporting act is Skin and Bruce is the Very Special Guest. And I would never suggest a guy like Bruce who's been through so much- I feel like I have to prove myself on whether I will ever have been through so much. And when I'm as old as Bruce, then I can maybe stand there and swankily say: That's my supporting act. Otherwise, I'm very glad that someone like that is playing before us, though I would never call him a supporting act. Because there are some people out there that will say 'Who does Deris think he is that he calls Dickinson his supporting act?' [Live Footage - The Chance] I: Would you put your name under the fact that in about one or two years there will be a revival of something that was said to already be dead? M: Not without my lawyers. A: If you look at it from abroad it seems as if this battleship Helloween is clearing the way for exactly that. For example, after _Master of the Rings_ went gold in I-Don't-Know-Where the other bands also sold umpteen times more records. That means that we don't have a leading position in the sense of 'no one can reach it' but we also pull a lot of stuff up. [Live Footage - Why?] I: Have you experienced that the fan community seems to grow age-wise? A: Yeah, it's very satisfactory. We've experienced that in Germany as well, not only in Japan or America, but also in our home country. There's also... I would say the youngest I've seen was standing directly at the front barrier in Hamburg on the brink of getting squashed, and I think he was maximum eleven years old. And about three or four rows behind him was someone about fifty. *Cut to a couple of fan interviews before the concert* I: Is this your first Helloween show? Fan 1: Yes, yes. I: How long have you been listening to their music? Fan 1: About five years. - Fan 2: I mean, personally I listen to more Black and Death Metal. I'm also playing in a Black Metal band. But I'm also into Power Metal, it's influenced me since my childhood and Helloween belongs to that. Known it since I was twelve. Fan 3: Musically Maiden, sorry Helloween, has improved again lately. I mean stuff like _Chameleon_ and _Pink Bubbles Go Ape_ just wasn't for Helloween fans. The new stuff, the last one was a start and the new one is already better. Fan 4: What also should be said is that the package here - Skin, Bruce Dickinson and Helloween - works together perfectly. I mean, I paid 38,50 DM for the ticket and after Bruce Dickinson I already have that back, to be perfectly honest. I really have to say 'Value for Money' there. [Live Footage - Eagle Fly Free]
10:23, bestes Statement 👍 Ich mag Helloween sowohl mit Hansen, Kiske als auch Deris und finde es übergeil, dass sie sich jetzt alle zusammengetan haben 👍👍👍
@@falaquisto Your ass What pitch problems did Kiske have? He can sing all his songa in original key, Deria never reached those high notes without falsetto. Só podia ser fã de Falasquito pra far uma merda dessas.

I'm happy that Deris joined Helloween in 1994 , because after Chameleon we wouldn't have Masters of the rings in 94 but Country Pop Helloween !! The best, DERIS,GRAPOW,KUSCH,GROSKOPH,WEIKATH - Helloween was in the lineup !!
Young Andi Deris, what a change.
Thanks for this treasure. It Is amazing to be able yo watch more footage from The High Live era
It is pleasant to finally see footage from this tour without the post-production effects from High Live (the almost constant 'fake slow motion'). :)

Krass, bin da in der ersten Reihe und mein alter Kumpel Weikie rockt da oben;))
Awesome footage! Their best tour alongside Pumpkin Fly Free. Miles better than the BTR tour and the ones after TDR (excluding PU)
And also a good example that the songs were always written too high for him, even on the records with him.
'Deris' (haha see what I did there?) this guy who once saved Helloween.

Boa war damals der Sound live schlecht 😵 die platte ist aber stark
The Chance is only for Michael Kiske!!!
Vladimir Holstinin detected
Uli was usually spot on, super drummer. The singers are usually out of pitch :(
Aber Nichtdoch Your ass
The only Helloween singer that had pitch problem was Kiske, not Deris.
