Would like to move to Story, Wyoming and live a quiet life. I'm a writer and songwriter plus love the outdoors....camping, bicycling, kayaking, etc. Also like Sheridan. Plus I don't want to change anything about Story or Sheridan. Wish me luck.
@Stan Logan it really depends. Anywhere around Denver is super expensive so I’d avoid that area. But Pueblo Colorado is cheap. So is Alamosa Colorado. These towns have a lot to offer for their location. Wyoming is cheaper, and if you can handle the cold and wind I would go there. However the places in Colorado I mentioned are dry and warmer than Wyoming. A lot less snow.
Would like to retire in Story, Wyoming and of course spend time in Sheridan. Any feedback? I'm a writer and songwriter. Love the mountains and outdoors. Story/Sheridan seem like a fit to me plus I'm not one of those people who want to move in and change everything. Like it the way it is and live a quiet life.
It's pretty loud here, there are a lot of loud vehicles and barking dogs. If you value your quiet it's not the place for you. I've spent about 17 years living in and around Sheridan and I plan on moving away as soon as I can afford to.

For a creative individual such as yourself, Story is a lovely "retreat" from the world. If you don't mind being secluded from the rest of the world, such as Sheridan, during winter when the roads can be impassable due to a lot of snow, then it's fabulous. Story residents help each other... and it really is a lovely artisanal community. You'd just need to keep a lot of stuff in stock! Good luck to you.
Yes! I agree! It's a lovely town. Your video captures the beauty of this place. Thanks for sharing!
Bursting with pride at my hometown!
Beautiful video
Love this town

It’s super windy and cold. I recommend living in Colorado. It’s less isolating, and just as peaceful
How expensive is it living in Colorado?

Don't know why it printed 3 times. Sorry
I live in Sheridan, and i grew up there. Let me tell you, it is very pretty, but people keep moving here, and it is so annoying 😑
I'm a minority, liberal and from California so I know I'm not welcome.
You’re labeling and separating people is the problem.
You are welcome even though it's kind of annoying the number of people moving to sheridan because I grew up there and still live there
