- This video is about how to setup your Audient Evo 4 to use with Smaart and along with that, how to configure Smaart to use the Audient Evo 4 as the I/O Device.
Along with it also how to use the Loopback feature on the Evo 4 to make the best use of it.
Finally I also provide an insight about my opinion of the Evo 4 as an I/O device with Smaart.

On your keyboard, click Shift and E and it will show up Input Meters.

Hi, I saw when measuring with virtual loopback, the phase and magnitude is reversed compared to a measurement with physical loopback.
I think it is necessary to save the measurement of the virtual loopback and activate it in the transfer function in weight curve loopback inv.
otherwise we compare a purely digital signal to a microphone preamp.
when do you think ?

I think you have experienced this due to something else and not because of Virtual loopback. Also the phase inversion is understandable but what do you mean by magnitude is reversed. The only way a magnitude measurement is reversed is if the Meas and Ref signal are swapped. Also I would definitely not recommend using it as a weighing curve in TF. For a particular set of measurement it doesn’t really matter if it’s common for all the aligning or tuning decisions u r gonna take, till the time it’s the same common factor.
So yaa I guess you are making things way more complicated than it needs to be.
Can you make a video like this with the Audient evo 16. And how would you config 3 measurement mics

@@RajeshKhade Yea i'm debating between the roland octa capture vs the audient eco 16, i would choose the eve 16 because its newer and usb c and had the built in power supply, its also cheaper than the roland which has been out for years so I'm worried choosing the audient might be a bad choice , would love to get a recommendation
@@MixmasterMegz767 Go for the Evo 16 if those are ur options. I’m guessing u r looking at a Multi Mic Setup. And yup you are completely correct in thinking tht it’s a newer device . Plus being digital it has again Recall function and with the upcoming updates in Smaart, you will also be able to remote control the Evo 16 from within Smaart. So makes sense to go for the Evo 16 over the Octa Capture any day.
@@RajeshKhade Yea its a multi mic setup and the recall and being able to save different setups is a plus too so i will deff go with the evo 16 , tho I've seen someone with a RME setup using the madi on the digi co but that's another topic for another day

Do I need to buy DAW saperately?
It does come with a free DAW, refer to website to know which exact DAW and free plugins they are providing at the time of your purchase.

Once you register your product with Audient, you get a DAW and few other plugins free. This list might change with time. So refer to their website for exact details on which plugins are free and which DAW they are providing at the time of your purchase.

@@reeriba9561 A full tutorial video on TH-cam won't be possible as it is not something that can be covered in a simple video. As it is not as simple as 1 + 1 = 2. There are many factors involved that needs to be considered. And so we have full 2-3 days training for the same. You can attend one of those trainings to understand how to best make use of Smaart.
