Day 6: Trek to Chhokang Paro
So, today's adventure took us to Chokkang Paro, nestled at an altitude of 3031 meters. The trail stretched for about 10-11 kilometers, boasting plenty of ups and downs, though the total altitude gain was a manageable 700 meters. We kicked off our journey at a decent 8 am, and after a solid 5 and a half hours of trekking, we finally made it to our destination by around 1:30 pm. Just our luck, as soon as we arrived, the heavens opened up, treating us to a refreshing two-hour downpour, with snowfall at higher elevations. The temperature took a nosedive, courtesy of the chilly wind, making for quite the chilly experience.
