this song speaks volumes!! the part that breaks my heart is when they say "how could you have been so blind." it is so frustrating and scary when people dont see how important it is to make a decision now before it gets too late. as my dad says every week after his sermon, if you dont make the decision today, you already have made the decision.

Great, powerful song. DC talk was around in my teens & I certainly miss them! I wanted to make a comment on some things I've read in this thread... There are some that believe in post or pre tribulation rapture, I just wanted to point out that I take comfort in knowing that we(as Christians) are to be called up pre trib. We aren't appointed to the day of wrath. (1 Thessalonians 5:9) The return of Christ on Earth is actually a separate occurrence. If you read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, we are to comfort each other in knowing that we are to called up to meet the Lord in the air (rapture). Of course those who are asleep(whom have already passed), go 1st. In the book of Revelation, it accounts all the things that happen before & after His 2nd coming. The people that become Christians after the rapture of the Church takes place- are the ones who die for their faith, ones who won't take the mark of the beast. Not saying dying for your faith doesn't happen in this day, it certainly does! But, I don't believe that us Christians here now will endure the Antichrist. Like the song says, 2 men walking up a hill, 1 disappears, 1 left standing still. Let's be ready!!!
I knew this song way before DC Talk sang it---breaks my heart that it is so true!!!! People just don't get it---so in life for themselves and getting ahead-greed, sex, other stuff that has no eternal meaning. I have a son that now states he has no belief in God--he was raised in a Bible believing and teaching church-made profession of faith and saw God intervene to save my life more than 20 times form life threatening episodes of Lupus. His older brother is now laying up treasures on earth and not in Heaven. The pain parents go thru is almost unbearable!!! I pray continuously because I know nothing is impossible with God!!! I trust Him totally---He has never left a need unmet in my illness in 37 years!!! That is saying so much. I am so thankful for Christian parents that helped after my divorce from their dad--he couldn't handle my disease-I was socially unacceptable. Unreal!!! My folks are with the Lord now. I live with my oldest son and his wife and 3 precious grandchildren--sure pray they will be life long followers of Christ!!! I love Jesus with all my heart!!!

Luke 16 there is no escaping once a person has gone to hell. God doesn't send people to hell they did not accept Jesus as their savior. The man in Hell does not one time complain that he has been placed in Hell unfairly. When someone goes to Hell for all eternity they can remember all the times they rejected Christ, and just like the man in Luke 16 they beg for someone to go back and tell their loved ones. Don't be left behind, put all your trust in Jesus!! Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation!!

About 10 years ago..they had a play at this one church in PA. It was "Glory and Fire" about Heaven and Hell. It was so real. This one girl took her unsaved 16 year old friend. When they had altar call at the end...She begged her friend to go. She said not at this time..she still has a lot to live for. That night driving home she was killed in an automobile accident. Very Sad. So you tell me, Would you rather believe and go to heaven or not and go to Hell? The choice is yours. She chose her path.

I know is very sad to have people against God, BUT you can't say to an unbeliever that he's your enemy, it's sufficient for you to pray in silence for his soul don't even need to acknowledge it to that person. Remember, prayers that are done in secret will be awarded in public.
We have to put all our energy into creating a heaven here on Earth for all of us. The root of all evil is apathy so get your head out of the clouds and start caring about suffering down here on the ground before you even think about what could possibly be awaiting you in the world to come. Thinking that you're going to go to heaven is quite presumptuous...that's for God to decide, based on how you've treated your neighbors and yourself.
From what I've read in the Word, apparently we're the only ones who hear that trumpet and the voice that says, "Come up here" since the nonbelievers aren't looking to go to heaven nor are they listening for that sound. Yes, I know there are deaf and folks with hearing problems, if they believe, our Father will be certain to bring them, too. Those days will be times of incredible pain - Revelation tells us that people then "will seek death and it will elude them" , meaning they will be attempting to die and cannot. I can't imagine the horrors those left behind will see daily - maimed, torn people still alive by the thousands. War,famine, poisoned water, very little food. Yet there will be those who become Christians in those days - most at the expense of their lives. Be ready now. Don't be left behind.

I'll add to the discussion. Show love to everyone. I found this is one of the best and effective ways of getting to the world. Most times people don't like being confronted with their status. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I don't look for gays or lesibians to put down. The best way of reaching them is just to simply show love and kindness...something many of them don't get.

About 10 years ago..they had a play at this one church in PA. It was "Glory and Fire" about Heaven and Hell. It was so real. This one girl took her unsaved 16 year old friend. When they had altar call at the end...She begged her friend to go. She said not at this time..she still has a lot to live for. That night driving home she was killed in an automobile accident. Very Sad. So you tell me, Would you rather believe and go to heaven or not and go to Hell? The choice is yours. She chose her path.

I know is very sad to have people against God, BUT you can't say to an unbeliever that he's your enemy, it's sufficient for you to pray in silence for his soul don't even need to acknowledge it to that person. Remember, prayers that are done in secret will be awarded in public.
We have to put all our energy into creating a heaven here on Earth for all of us. The root of all evil is apathy so get your head out of the clouds and start caring about suffering down here on the ground before you even think about what could possibly be awaiting you in the world to come. Thinking that you're going to go to heaven is quite presumptuous...that's for God to decide, based on how you've treated your neighbors and yourself.
From what I've read in the Word, apparently we're the only ones who hear that trumpet and the voice that says, "Come up here" since the nonbelievers aren't looking to go to heaven nor are they listening for that sound. Yes, I know there are deaf and folks with hearing problems, if they believe, our Father will be certain to bring them, too.
Those days will be times of incredible pain - Revelation tells us that people then "will seek death and it will elude them" , meaning they will be attempting to die and cannot. I can't imagine the horrors those left behind will see daily - maimed, torn people still alive by the thousands. War,famine, poisoned water, very little food. Yet there will be those who become Christians in those days - most at the expense of their lives. Be ready now. Don't be left behind.

I'll add to the discussion. Show love to everyone. I found this is one of the best and effective ways of getting to the world. Most times people don't like being confronted with their status. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I don't look for gays or lesibians to put down. The best way of reaching them is just to simply show love and kindness...something many of them don't get.
