    Hi friend! I’m sure you do know that the automatic scooters have a BELT drive. So with increased weight of the side car tricycle that belt will fail much quicker! Average belt replacement time for a scooter is 2 years ish.

      Good evening and hope you have a happy new year! Thank you for bringing that up, I completely forgot to include that in the downfalls of the scooter. I meant to bring it up. It is definitely much harder on the belts having the sidecar and will wear the belt out much quicker than normal. 5k+ kilometers ridden since the sidecar was installed and no issues yet. I will update how long I get out of the belt.
      Pinning this comment since I forgot to mention it, thank you for bringing this up! It is helpful for people to decide when thinking of the automatic vs manual tricycles.

      I have 5 scooters, 3 auto, 1 manual and one electric. No belt drives, The Yamaha Fino & Mio are both shaft drives and the Honda Click 110 (2009) is chain drive.

    I agree with all your narratives with the tricycle 👍☺

      Overall I love riding a tricycle, its just the bumpy roads that can be uncomfortable to ride on. I think I will add a bag of cement from now on if I don't have a passenger. I'm not sure if anyone else does that, but it rides smoother with a passenger or weight in the sidecar.

    I'm the exact same as you with video timeframe. 10-15 is perfect

      I agree, under 15 minutes is the sweet spot. Its hard to get the time to binge watch a 30-45 minute youtube video. I will try to keep things short and sweet, the direction of this channel will be more drone footage and less of me talking, waiting for my drone in a balikbayan box, and controller battery for my Phantom 4.

      @@gordonb1737 Just added a subscribe to your channel, its nice to see channels that bust out the drone. I have a Phantom 4 and the controller battery is a goner, it sat all year without being charged and DJI intentionally bricks the batteries if you don't charge them every couple months. I am excited for when my FPV drone gets here, I am going to keep practicing around farmland on manual mode. I want to be a channel of more drone videos and less of my opinion like a lot of other foreigner vlogs do. Its a beautiful country and its nice to see it from the air! haha.

      @@amerikanophilippines There are supposed to be ways to incorporate your voice into the video as you're flying it. I have never dug into exactly how to do it. Would be nice to know how incase you want to describe what you're showing while flying vs editing a narration in later

    • @amerikanophilippines
      @amerikanophilippines  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@gordonb1737 You could probably do that in adobe premier pro software but you will need a separate audio file of the narration, I cant think of any easier ways at the moment. You can just do a free trial with adobe and use a virtual card so you dont get charged if you forget to cancel. Just put $1 on the virtual privacy card. The FPV drone will only give you the drone sound if you put the SD card in the goggles I noticed. I put the chip in the drone and had no whistling drone rotors. I like the sound effects of the FPV. I do want to upgrade to the Mavic 3 Enterprise but its $3,500 but has a really long flight time.

    Never use a scooter to be used as tricycle at least for most of us here in Ph. 50k for a used Click and to be used as tricycle is tooooo much waste of 🤑. Just saying bro. A used ligit “Pantra” (Pang Tricycle or Pantrabaho) is better and well designed for tricycle. Chassis alone and Engine of click is never for heavier load or torque other than for single use sir.
    Side car alone is too heavy but off course it will run with it click but very dangerous po … mechanically unstable.
    A brand new TMX Alpha is just about 54K or so and very well designed for tricycle. Used, can be as low as 15k - 25k po. Anyway, enjoy your tricycle and be careful especially if you have your loved ones with it and on highways or so.

    • @amerikanophilippines
      @amerikanophilippines  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Its good to hear your thoughts, I knew it would be controversial configuring a scooter as a tricycle haha, that's why I brought it up. I can see how a traditional tricycle would be much more mechanically stable, its why you don't see to many scooter tricycles. The scooters were definitely never designed to be configured as a scooter, and will be much less stable 💯 The traditional tricycle can potentially last decades with the proper maintenance. A CVT click scooter configured as a tricycke definitely wont be alive in 10 years lol.
      I don't bring my family on highway rides other than a short distance on any tricycle, too dangerous. Victory Liner and other large commercial vehicle will mow anyone down that gets in their path. We will be buying a car and only using the tricycle for short rides to the palengke etc, just prioritizing our house build first.

    @kosasigwalo1895 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    belt drives and flyballs aren't as durable as sprockets and chain so you'll have a costlier maintenance, plus, you can't fix your cvt on the spot when either of those two went kaputs. the cvt's bolts is enough to give me shivers. maybe you're okay since you're on a leveled planes... but up in the mountains? oh noooo. drive safe pare and happy new year!

    • @amerikanophilippines
      @amerikanophilippines  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      lol ya you have an excellent point, you will destroy your scooter having a sidecar mounted much quicker if you are going up steep hills or live in a hilly area, or fail to do CVT maintenance. The CVT was definitely a consideration and you are based for cringing haha. It will be interesting to see how long this tricycle configuration lasts. If I lived in a hilly area there is no way I would go with a CVT. Happy New Year!

    there is an Alaskan guy living in thailand whose channel name is ALASKAN IN THE PHILIPPINES... using Philippines for more viewers... His content is all about negative things about Philippines... He is very Rude to us Filipinos... 🙁

    • @amerikanophilippines
      @amerikanophilippines  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have not seen their channel, he sounds like an absolute loser. Filipinos are some of the friendliest people on Earth. I spent 12 years in Alaska and I can honestly say that Alaskans are some of the most arrogant, rude, smug people I have ever met, so he probably fits into that category. The summers are nice up there but Alaska is a cold, depressing place most of the year, and a lot of the state is like a frozen desert.
      Filipinos are the happiest and this Country has so much to offer. The Philippines for me is no comparison to Thailand, its why I chose here vs Thailand when finding a wife. Christian nation, Filipinos value family, friendly to foreigners, happy welcoming people not to mention over 7,000 islands to explore and the beautiful landscape.
      Thailand is primarily Buddhist and they are not friendly to foreigners I heard, unless they speak Thai, etc. Filipinos are some of the friendliest people I have ever met.
      The Philippines is under rated and i hope Thailand loses a lot of tourism to the Philippines. The Philippines will continue to develop and position itself into prosperity. God Bless this great nation.

      Happy 2025 to you and appreciate the comment. I am just a non monetized nobody channel with less than 500 subscribers, so I am not sure how sharing the costs of my experience buying a used scooter or that painting a Philippine flag on a vehicle is prohibited is seen as attention seeking, using this analogy every video on youtube is geared towards engagement thus attention from viewers. Your very comment can be seen as attention seeking as well, with all due respect.
      I actually intent to be a channel of more sight seeing and cinematic drone footage when I tune my skills and my FPV drone arrives and my Phantom 4 controller battery arrives. I do appreciate the comment because that validates why foreigners and vlogs including myself need to talk less and show more of this great country. I appreciate your feedback. 🙏

    the evidence why i dont even think of picking a hearsay quality big 4 brand th-cam.com/video/q1rfuFO7CNI/w-d-xo.html i wont buy anything used in the Phillipines specially the big 4 brand because some of them fail at low odo and most of them are famous on youtube videos that suffer engine damage on low milleage specialy your honda scooter. always watch youtube videos on motorcycle repairs and which one always present in repair shops even brandnew. evidence proves that it is a low quality while fooling people of the brand.

    • @amerikanophilippines
      @amerikanophilippines  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You bring up a valid point, I was having a discussion about this yesterday with my father in law, how reliable the old Hondas were vs the new ones. I have seen some Rusi motorcycles with an insane amount of kilometers and still running strong and a Yamaha that runs like dog crap with 40k kilometers even with proper maintenance.
      Low quality while slapping the Honda or Yamaha sticker on it at a marked up price? haha sounds about right.
      It could definitely prove to be a huge mistake going with a honda scooter, but I will consider this a public science experiment with how long this configuration will last without a CVT, belt, or engine failure. If I dont get much life out of it I can always mount the sidecar on a motorcycle with a walk of shame haha!

      @@amerikanophilippines if you want a pantra bikes for tricycle, dont go to expensive honda tmx 125 alpha or you will end up having a knocking sound engine in just a week. the reason is, it only got soft bronze idle gear bushings while rusi and skygo are steel. most skylab used in the mountains are the china bikes like rusi or skygo and its cheap to maintain and . i have a rusi too, 12 years old. most big 4 motorcycle in PH are overprice and not japan made because they are just franchise. they have a high price but the quality is low.
