    For the record. All our Camplore Knives have a 90* spine. And we recently announced the running change to all Camplore knives. They will be going to the Black tumbled oxide finish and darker sheath!
    Kydex options and an sheath upgrade to be shown by SHOT show.

      I'm really wanting this knife but the RH only sheath is kind of a deal breaker for me. It'd cost me another $30-40 to have a kydex sheath made, but for a bushcraft knife I'd prefer a proper leather sheath.

    Thank you for the review and kind words. Ole Patrick uses a knife about as much as any guy I know. We are thrilled with this knife and glad so many of our customers are too.

    Flint and steel is 1 reason I wanted this type knife. I just love it. Beautiful handle and blade finish. I just ordered me a neck knife from Ever crawl fish knives. Just like the one Bill Goudy has with bottle opener on it. Gonna be 6 to 8 weeks before I get it. I really want this one too. I will go check out the link. Nice video testing it. A+

    Great knife review. That knife is very compelling since it's $100. I'm looking for a knife around that price that can be a jack of all trades. Or do I need two knives? This fills the bushcraft, woodsman, camping, wood working aspects like you said. I would want a knife that is also a survival knife with more of a hilt to stop the hand from slipping over the blade.

    • @guns4funcajanajustin
      @guns4funcajanajustin  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a excellent choice for bushcraft, woodsman, camping, wood working . I just always carry another knife for my bigger task. I really do not see the hand ever slipping over onto the blade. Try out the 6 it would make a good survival knife

    • @BigCrazyOutdoorAdventures
      @BigCrazyOutdoorAdventures 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Watching your video on this now. I'm liking this knife. It looks like Jack of all Trades knife i was looking for. th-cam.com/video/YmE715EUw3A/w-d-xo.html

      I hope the www.theknifeconnection.net/ is giving you a kickback. You're doing a great job for him :-) I see there are a ton of handles and sheaths on their site. More research required but I'm definitely leaning towards the 6. Thanks so much for the help.

    Very nice! is the handle to thin

    • @guns4funcajanajustin
      @guns4funcajanajustin  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No because it is not a survival knife. But yes they are thin handles it makes it easy to carry

  • @Petrichorscreen
    @Petrichorscreen 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Because its so thin, im thinking it would be best used for cooking and food preparation. I really like the close ups of it on the tree stump, very pretty. Overall, nice review.

  • @armandcouture4655

    I got this same knife not too long ago. Been holding up great so far and although I have been rawking the leather sheath It came with, I do wanna grab a kydex one from knife connection. I think it’s slim handle will work well that way or perhaps a Armatus horizontal carry sheath.

    Thats nice, 90 degree spine is great for throwing sparks off the ferro.
    The only thing i would like to see is a loop for a ferro rod, all knives are naked without one lol.
    Great review, i like it.

  • @northcountryadventures7619
    @northcountryadventures7619 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good review. I like the look and shape of the blade. I also like the Micarta and the way it is done. I think they could have done a much better job on the ergonomics of the handle, especially for a knife with a MSRP of $190. Keep up the good work.

    • @guns4funcajanajustin
      @guns4funcajanajustin  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the kephart design. The handle is what makes this knife for me. That MSRP they are around $100 Thanks

    • @northcountryadventures7619
      @northcountryadventures7619 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that is a much better price. I do like the look of the Micarta handles. Straight handles with no swell can often be uncomfortable. It can be hard to tell how a knife is going to feel until you actually hold it. Glad this one turned out to be a good one. Thanks again

    • @guns4funcajanajustin
      @guns4funcajanajustin  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true it has to be in the hand to know if you will like it. Testing is always a must on any knife or gear you buy.

    You know how us backpackers are. We're kinda anal about weights, so I may not take that on backpacking trips but it's really sweet, so I probably will check it out for normal camp chores. Nice review buddy.

    • @guns4funcajanajustin
      @guns4funcajanajustin  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a excellent choice for backpacking. Do to you do not have to carry a striker and it is under a half pound even with a ferro rod. Thanks Tony

    Handle looks terrible. Too thin and the texture will destroy your hands with prolonged use

    • @guns4funcajanajustin
      @guns4funcajanajustin  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After you try it you will have another opinion. I destroys wood when holding it the right way. Maybe you have a bad form just saying

    • @dillanhudgins3070
      @dillanhudgins3070 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Survival Mindset maybe its better than it looks. I dont own it. That was my first impression from the geometry of the handle. Im no exspert but my form is not of issue.
