- Mike Mosiello outdid himself in coining this BEAUTIFUL Melody, on this Record loaded with solos by the Grey Gull musicians also listed by one source as "The Louisville Master Players" possibly on Van Dyke! ! Although not the best quality of recording, it is indeed a treat to hear. I hope you will enjoy!
Quite impressive! I'm guessing George Hamilton Green on xylophone or marimba and Andy Sannella, usually a clarinetist, doubling on steel guitar.
sounds great for a grey gull !!!!!!!
I had to leave another comment.😅 Re-visiting this bewitching tune makes me love it each time...it fills my heart with majesty and my mind with wonder as I dream of the one I love...yet another sweet one, roybo1930...a swell one.😚 Again, my sincerest thanks.💖
Well You made my night! THANK YOU!!
Dixie Rag Pickers was a pseudonym for the Grey Gull studio band, but even this generic studio orchestra is doing a truly marvelous job here in this lovely composition by Mike Moisiello. As you point out, the arrangement is splendid, boasting a lot of wonderfully played, most remarkable solo work. Thank you so much for presenting this unknown gem! To my ears, is more than ok too :-)
Thank You so much! I adore this melody, and the solos are truly wonderful, I really enjoy these B sides, as well as the A! This one is quite clean for a Grey Gull, I had to upload it, The musicians really did a swell job in this! "I will be uploading the A side, "If I Had A Talking Picture Of You" soon!
@@roybo1930 You are so welcome and I fully agree! This melody is so wonderful, marvelously written... Moreover I am looking forward to your upload of the A side, since that song is a favorite of mine too :-)
Bouncy and rich...lovely combination.💖
Thank You so much! These Grey Gull records are truly fun! Wish most had better quality material!! And most were played to the max!
@@roybo1930 Wow. This, eh, is my first time hearing them...I feel embarrassed to say...do post some more! I like what I hear!😁
An excellent tune, orchestra and quality fidelity.
Thank You! These little records had some wonderful music indeed!
Such a dreamy arrangement. Yes, Mike Mosiello plays such a sweet trumpet 🎺 here. Do you know any of the other musicians?
Thanks so much Barbara! I sure wish I did know! I can only make a guess, I have very little info on this record!!
Текст комментариий настолько Блеклый,что невозможно их читать и прочитать а также высказывать комментарии об исполнителях произведений.!
Not sure what you are looking at!?? If it is the label text, it is very hard to photograph with the equipment I have, But I provided all of the info I have on this record on my description! If You are referring to the label itself, the gold print on the left hand side just says "Use Steel Needle - Change Needle Every Time" on the right hand side in shield "Recorded By Grey Gull"!!
