  • If you have been around for a bit, you know that I am VERY into my planners these days. When I get the chance to customize them, I like them even more! I decided to use some cutting boards from the Dollar Tree, a little vinyl, and my Cricut Maker to make custom dividers for my Happy Planner. All the supplies are linked down below!

    For anyone asking about what setting to use for the Explore Air 2 I was able to cut through the mats using the deep cut blade and the metallic leather setting. The natural wood veneer setting with less pressure also works but if you let it run all 4 passes it does cut the mat.

      It is hard to decide between the machines for sure. I love my Cricut machines because they cut so easily through so many materials. But, if I were just focusing on cutting out printables, I would probably stick to Silhouette.

    Hello Elisa, I just watched this video and was wondering, with the cutting mats that you purchased to make the divider, how many dividers were you able to cut out with the one sheet or is it one only per cutting sheet and do you have to use the strong grip cutting mat or can the light grip work?

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  ปีที่แล้ว

      You do need the strong grip mat for sure. I think I got two dividers from one cutting mat, but now I am not totally sure...it's been a while!

      @@ScrappyWife Thank you for your reply back. Much appreciated. I am going to try one out on my Cricut Explore Air 2 and see how it works. If I am unable to get 2 cut on the same cutting mat, I will try doing them by hand instead.

    Hi I love this!!! I have a Big planner so it would be great to make them for that as full page are hard to find. I was wondering, how do you recommend punching the holes if we don’t have the same hole punch you do? Have you been successful with any other punches? Great project and you did a beautiful job as always!

    • @RobinCrafts
      @RobinCrafts 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      use a regular hole punch for the rounded part and cut the slit with your scissors. I did it this way for years until I bought a disc punch

    • @liliana1lfr
      @liliana1lfr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And Happy Planner sells a great punch for all sizes! I have the white one, easiest to see. TUL (@ Office Depot) sells a portable disc bound system punch, too.

    • @ScrappyWife
      @ScrappyWife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Happy Planner punch does not cut through anything that has any sort of thickness to it, so it is not great for plastic dividers. Truthfully, I would recommend looking into the We R Memory Keepers punch. It is the best on the market and fits the disc size really well.
