Maybe you should have added the correlation between the balance sheets of the central banks and the stock market. Over the longrun they correlate extremely well because both are entangled with the productivity growth of the economy but even in inflationary times they correlate so investing in Index funds is the best strategy against inflation over the long run
Yea I have some thoughts on this. On the other hand the video already ended up being 15 minutes long so gotta cut it off somewhere, otherwise I end up making a documentary. 😅

Thanks so much buddy! I think 50 years or so, after which point each incremental future profit has a negligible value today. I often don’t do the terminal value calculation just bc I don’t find it reasonable to assume companies last until infinity.
@@The-Rest-of-Us Thanks! 50 years was also what I assumed when trying to replicate your calculation.
I found that it’s very easy to calculate future speculative profits in wolfram alpha using the formula:
sum current-profit * (1+growth-percentage)^x * (1-discount-percentage)^x, x=0 to number-of-years
For Apple this would be:
sum 84 * 1.05^x * 0.93^x, x=0 to 50
=> 2511 (billions)
Oh nice, never thought about using WolframAlpha for this!

I actually sold my Tesla stock and shifted into others which I think are well below fair value. But I did hold for almost 8 years. :) And still love the company (and my Model 3 Performance :).

bringing up warren buffett I thought youd also bring up the laws and policies that went into effect that he voted on or took part in making while he was a politician, and how those pieces of legislation helped him and others stay rich. Things like tax cuts and subsidies.

Intrinsic value is something very subjective. If you really want to make money, buy a solid company during a recession and hold it into your retirement, buying more shares along the way.
It‘s hard to assess accurately, but it‘s not subjective.

While I don't disagree explanation of fundamental analysis, your understanding of technical analysis is stupid! Technical analysis is real the study of other investors and when done right and in conjunction with an understanding of fundamentals will allow one improve timing and better capital allocation

Studies have shown time after time day traders have way less growth than the S&P500 and that if you do outperform the market it's luck not skill.

Yea it's frustrating. Think the algorithm doesn't like my upload frequency very much, haha. But the positive feedback on the video anyway means a lot to me. More important than the views or money.
But If I look at Bitcoin growth and at Buffet growth... I goes old man does not cut it anymore.
I literraly rather pick new digital, decentralized economy and stocks that tsla, pltr, sq... ahh right I did, and it made me 700% last year.
1. Your vote doesn't matter, there will never be enough shares available for purchase for you to swing the vote away from the executives who own 51% stake of the company.....your vote is meaningless, and therefore, your "ownership" in the company is not actually ownership. Yes, companies placate the shareholders, but that's only to entice higher stock value so that the executives can justify giving themselves a bigger bonus.
2. The market is not a fair space....you can "say" that the market always "returns to intrinsic value" but your decision of what is "intrinsic" isn't the same as mine or anyone else'. Stocks go up because of manipulation to buy, stocks go down because of manipulation to sell...the market is a shark tank, and telling people that it is "fair" is only making them tuna. You are right that you have to ignore the noise, but to push the point even further, look at TSLA....you are stating that the intrinsic was undervalued, but is it? The company has barely made profit, and many other companies are competing on the same lines, and the ONLY thing that they have going for them is a very charismatic leader and edge lord; I can say for 100% certainty that without him, that stock would barely be above $50 right now (similar markets as any other car manufacturer)
3. If you are just buying stock and holding, hoping for value return, then you will barely make profit.....10% is pretty good, I guess, but if you aren't at least doing CC, you are wasting time (and time is money). Buffett was rich, so it's obvious how he became richer....give anyone a million dollars and tell them to buy stock and they'll be a billionaire in 40 years as well, not that difficult. Most people don't have millions, or hundreds of thousands....they have a hundred bucks MAYBE, and buying 0.7 shares of WMT stock with DRIP will only turn into about 1.87 shares in 40 years and maybe be priced at $600 per share.
You want to make money, then you need to learn strategies...not tea-leaf daytrading bullshit, but real stuff. You need to learn the Wheel, CC, PMCC, and Spreads....and definitely need to learn math. If you're good, you can do like me and get 132% apy. If you want to be rich, you have to act like the shark, not the tuna....you are there for the money, not for the fake ownership. Using the fundamentals to find good companies will help, sure, because there are people like you who will prop the stock long enough for me to collect on, it's really that simple.
