I am quite the hugger and a cuddle would even do the trick for me ^^, I can say I am a hug addict but many people around me Don't really like hugs so it's always just a quick pat, I remember I had a friend who didn't like hugs but there would always be those times where I would forget and I just hugged them I could tell they was uncomfortable so I always felt bad.
Reason I like hugs is because I feel loved, Protected, Safe and honestly they keep me sane but since I don't get them that often leaves me a little sad a disappointed and I still don't get over that but luckily there are some people in my life that won't hesitate to pull me into a warm hug :")
