    Finally a video for ESS. was only seeing videos on other procharges where they were taking off the whole bumper for installs lol. very informative with the pcv fittings and tips to cap off those fittings. thank you! 🙏🏽

      @@BoostJunkieMedia could you also drop a link where you got that little breather on the passenger side that has the little ball inside?

    I drilled out my pvc (2.9 whipple) and still had it connected to the vacuum on the supercharger via a catch can , big mistake, instant smoke show at idle , blanked of the vacuum fitting and fitted a filter , all good, I’d fit the upr caps on the manifold

    • @BoostJunkieMedia
      @BoostJunkieMedia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah having an open port in your PVC attached to vacuum would draw lots of oil out causing smoke. The UPR caps don't seem to provide a great seal to me, I can see my vac/boost gauge flutter when I rock the UPR cap on the manifold fitting. The rubber vacuum fitting doesn't leak. Vacuum/boost leaks are no good.

    Have you had any issues with oil mist spraying from the breather?

      I just had this issue it went away and hasn’t come back yet but i noticed the temps start to climb whenever this does happen.

    i installed this and my car wont turn on i think the cap on the intake manifold might not seal properly

      Try a smaller rubber cap or even seal it with a zip tie if you can. I have not seen this issue with the UPR can.

    Did you have any check engine light with that that breather on the top of the catch can

    • @BoostJunkieMedia
      @BoostJunkieMedia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No that should not cause a check engine light having the breather. It's just to let out the blowby crankcase pressure from the valve covers. I have not had any issues thus far with this setup.

      @@RonnieYoung-zx8wu That is a very different setup from a supercharged coyote so I can't say what might be causing it. What are the codes that are being thrown? Lean condition by chance?

    For a Naturally Aspirated setup, do u think just this catch can with the stock pcv Valve would be enough?

    • @BoostJunkieMedia
      @BoostJunkieMedia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      For NA you don't need the breather on top. I would just get a closed system with the stock PCV valve. The breather is really just to help vent any positive crankcase pressure from blowby. With an NA setup you won't have any blowby because there is no positive pressure.

    • @royalpancakes6539
      @royalpancakes6539 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BoostJunkieMediaDamn fast response! Is there a reason why some catch cans just dont have a setup like this one, some catch can just go back to the intake manifold or air intake? I suppose it does the same thing as having one catch can for each side?

    • @BoostJunkieMedia
      @BoostJunkieMedia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@royalpancakes6539 yes this is the same as having a catcn can on each side since there a hose that goes from each valve cover to the can. This type of can with a breather would be considered for a race application off road use and is most likely not EPA certified because it can potentially vent oily residue. If you had a lot of oil vapor it is possible the breather could get oil filled and it can leave an oily mess in the engine bay. A good can should be able to vent the pressure though and leave the oil in the can. I have not had any issues so far with this setup.

      @@BoostJunkieMedia yeah, I currently have a Passenger side J&L 3.0, but ive heard many complain about the lack of filtering and been recommanded Upr, so I was either gonna transform the J&L into a driver side and buying a right side UPR or Just selling the J&L and buying this kind of setup since it does both.
