Great teaching. It amazing that what I’m going thru on my path aligns at times with your studies. My cousin lost her 3 children and mom in a tragic car accident on September 3rd. While being interviewed by the news she forgave the killer and declared the name of yeshua. You can imagine our conversation as too why this would happen, but as followers of Christ she and I learned to not lean on our own understanding and emotions instead to turn to yeshua for rest and peace. He will put your faith to the fire like the 7 sundry times the Jews had to go thru.
We must suffer in order to be drawn to the father. I truly believe this, and this study helps to confirm that what we’re going thru is preparation for the yeshua’s return. When he does return he doesn’t need any believers who waver. Our faith needs to be as strong as an OX. Hence why he allows us to go thru trails. Faith that’s doesn’t waver leads to revelation. Amen. 🙏❤️💜 great job above reproach!

I read this and I couldn’t believe it. My heart breaks for your cousin. I can’t even imagine (and I don’t want to) the incredible pain and heartache your cousin is feeling. What a testimony of God’s love and faithfulness. I’m so sorry that happened all in one split second. If I was in that position I really don’t know if I’d respond like that initially but I want to become someone that would turn to God and say “the Lord gives and takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” I’ll be praying for supernatural comfort and for God to draw near to your family in a way that is unexplainable.

I really enjoy hearing these lessons. The church I grew up in doesn't talk about these scriptures. We read them, but, never really talk about their meaning.

    • @rapturebound197
      @rapturebound197 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm guessing this also means your church is not really providing a good Bible study or if there is one it's not meeting your needs for this particular point in your spiritual walk. Ask the Lord to show you or point you to a small Bible study group that meets at a time and place that works for you. It could be in a home or apartment but I have found in my life that small groups have always been the best place to learn and grow. It allows for that all important discussion time to ask questions or comment on certain passages that you simply cannot do at Sunday worship services.
To God be the Glory! Amen 🕎✝️

Just to add to the part of our suffering, we go through suffering in life, saved or unsaved, we are persecuted over things, saved or unsaved. But being saved, God is with us through it, and He helps us and gives us peace and our faith grows with it. Unsaved we are so stressed out, mean, unforgiving, revengeful and all with out consciousness of what we do. When saved and persecuted for righteousness sake, we can take it for joy, we're blessed, and all the good things that are of God. We can and are persecuted for being women, for being fat, for how we dress, for thousands of things. So either way we are going to go through hell on earth at times, but one lifestyle has no reward, no protection, no healing, no God, and the other lifestyle, Christian life, or child of God life, we have it all, all that is love from the Father. Weigh the 2, and I'll take God any day.

@@billb3673 Hi Bill. Now this may be strange to most b/c almost all pastors these days teach we die then we go to celestial heaven. John 3:13 contradicts that. Nobody teaches John 3:13 - except Jesus! Go figure. I agree "absent from the body, in the presence of the Lord" MAY be true, but that's b/c God is omnipresent. So, wherever we go upon mortal death, we (spiritually) MAY be in God's presence. Luke 23:43, (Jesus) "today you will be with me in Paradise." When Jesus died His spirit did not go to celestial heaven, it went to Sheol's blessed side called Paradise. Now the condemned side of Sheol is called "Hell" or "Hades". This "Hell" is not lake of fire, so let's just drop "Hell" and from here on out refer to that place as "Hades". In fact, let's not consider even Hades - the waiting room of the damned. Why would Jesus ever be in that place?! I've got much more on this topic so if I've answered your thought, let me know. If you want to know more, Reply again.

It is also still considered a canonical book within the Ethiopian Orthodox sect of Christianity and is included in their Bible. It's worth a read, pretty interesting, and says a whole lot about the Messiah. It was obviously highly valued, if not viewed as Scripture, by Jews in Jesus' time. Yeshua often tests our faith, much like the trials the Jews endured seven times. 🙌 We believe that suffering is a path to drawing closer to the Father. This study reinforces our conviction that what we're enduring is preparation for Yeshua's return. When he does return, he seeks unwavering faith. Our faith must be as unshakable as an ox's strength. That's why he allows us to go through trials - because unyielding faith leads to divine revelation. Amen! 🙏❤💜 Kudos for a remarkable job beyond any criticism. 👏

A lot of good observations supporting the idea of angels rebelling in Genesis 6. I still don’t see anything Christ had to proclaim to them except old news. I believe it is an offering of mercy to everyone who was on earth before Christ. I just don’t see God forsaking a single person, let alone that many people without offering the free gift of salvation. Why wouldn’t they born before Christ be offered mercy but we were?
Also great job holding onto the main point of the passage, and we not only suffer in this life, but we have the privilege of suffering with Christ to come to know Him more. It is such an intimate, amazing experience having the Spirit of Christ, the Comforter with us in our trials. Hallelujah.

The main problem with that view is that they’re referred to as disobedient spirits (if in fact they are people being mentioned) and the context is suffering for righteousness sake vs suffering for unrighteousness sake. I have no contextual reason to believe these are people especially considering the way the chapter ends, but even if they were, I have even less contextual reason to say these people are receiving mercy. Rather this is in fact new Information the rebellious spirits are receiving in prison about the way Jesus accomplishes victory. They seem to be very unaware of Gods full plan until it’s accomplished

    • @joshua9449
      @joshua9449 ปีที่แล้ว

@@AboveReproachMinistry I gotchya. I feel like I see what you’re saying there. When referring to Christ, the context I want to point to is not just the “what”, the suffering for righteousness, but the “why”: suffering for the sake of proclaiming the Good News; suffering “that He might bring us to God”. The same reason we suffer, that we might bring others to God, suffering for the sake of offering salvation.
The word “also” is key in the passage, seems to be connecting not just the disobedient, which are mentioned, but seems to be connecting the disobedient to “bringing us to God” so it appears the disobedient are “also” being offered something:
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, *that He might bring us to God,* being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom *also* He went and preached to the spirits in prison,”

As He does, we go do likewise. We preaches good news, we preach good news. Righteousness isn’t just being right; it’s making wrong things right. Widely debated passage here though for good reason.

Other thing that just came to mind: what happened in the gospel of Matthew after Christ died? Remember people who had been dead coming to life? I bet they were formerly disobedient at some point, though they were holy men for sure… I think Christ came to offer mercy to the disobedient just as He did for me.
They had absolutely no way to get free from their wickedness before Christ was here. They would all end up burning just for being born… just doesn’t make sense to me unless offering some alternative like regeneration or something. I just don’t see God burning millions or billions of people, or even a single person, who had absolutely no chance at salvation.

@@AboveReproachMinistry also consider, it’s “formerly disobedient”, not just “disobedient”. So this could literally be referring to those risen after Christ’s death.
“Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”

“As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
How’d they get there after His death unless they were imprisoned somewhere? Even if it be Abraham’s bosom, they were kept there for a time until Christ was made dead in the flesh. Even so, I think everyone who has lived will be offered salvation.
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
…But Isaiah is very bold and says: “I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me.” But to Israel he says: “All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.””

Those imprisoned in the earth were the righteous according to relationships they had with Jesus, before the Law of Moses was given, and those made righteous after the Law of Moses was given.
Jesus went down into the heart of the earth and preached his death, burial, and resurrection, to those souls.
The Abraham's Isaac's and Jacob's who died in right standing with the Lord, having their sins covered, but not removed.
They had to hear the gospel and believe just like we do today.
The church started under the earth before it started on the earth.
Jesus set them free from being bound in the earth, they had their sins washed away, their spirits were cleansed from all spots, or wrinkles of sin.
Then after the resurrection he led those who were captive on high.
Now anyone who dies in Christ no longer go into the heart of the earth their spirit is taken to heaven, the blood of Jesus having cleansed them from sin.
Notice none of them was baptized in water to be saved, or have their sins removed, that's because water baptism doesn't save you, it's Spiritual baptism.
    That saves.

Galatians 3:27 is not referring to water baptism at all. Water baptism is symbolic of what is accomplished when we are baptized into one body by one Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is what matters. When we receive the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit as promised by Christ is when we become part of the body of Christ or are “baptized into Christ.” Those who try to force baptismal regeneration into Galatians 3:27 have no scriptural grounds for doing so.

I know you have a 'ministry' so I understand the cost, but if you are a true seeker of truth (for there is TRUTH), investigate The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which makes so many things clear upon which people stumble. It is the restored gospel from the time of Christ - the authority and truth being perverted with the persecution of the Saints and Apostles of that day leading to a great apostasy and necessitating a restoration of Christ's doctine and truth prior to His Second Coming. The fullness of the Lord's gospel is on the earth again and this authority will never again be taken from it. And the beauty is that each individual truly can know for him/her self the truthfulness of it. Again, with the full truth, comes a clarity and greater knowledge and understanding than is found from bits and pieces of truth that have come down through the ages. There truly is so much more. I wish you well and appreciate your spirit.

the pit has two chambers, hell and paradise. those awaiting Jesus in paradise. the lost, fallen angels and some demons in hell.
The different terms used in the Bible for heaven and hell-sheol, hades, gehenna, the lake of fire, paradise, and Abraham’s bosom-are the subject of much debate and can be confusing.
The word paradise is used as a synonym for heaven (2 Corinthians 12:3-4; Revelation 2:7). When Jesus was dying on the cross and one of the thieves being crucified with Him asked Him for mercy, Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). Jesus knew that His death was imminent and that He would soon be in heaven with His Father. In His words of comfort to the penitent thief, Jesus used paradise as a synonym for heaven, and the word has come to be associated with any place of ideal loveliness and delight.
Abraham’s bosom is referred to only once in the Bible-in the story of Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31). Abraham’s lap was used in the Talmud as a synonym for heaven (Seder Nashim, Kiddushin 72b). The image in the story is of Lazarus reclining at a table leaning on Abraham’s breast-as John leaned on Jesus’ breast at the Last Supper-at the heavenly banquet. The point of the story is that wicked men will see the righteous in a happy state, while they themselves are in torment, and that a “great gulf” that can never be spanned exists between them (Luke 16:26). Abraham’s bosom is obviously a place of peace, rest, and joy-in other words, paradise.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol. It simply means “the place of the dead” or “the place of departed souls/spirits.” The New Testament Greek equivalent to sheol is hades, which is also a general reference to “the place of the dead.” The Greek word gehenna is used in the New Testament for “hell” and is derived from the Hebrew word hinnom. Other passages in the New Testament indicated that sheol/hades is a temporary place where souls are kept as they await the final resurrection. The souls of the righteous, at death, go directly into the presence of God-the part of sheol called “heaven,” “paradise,” or “Abraham’s bosom” (Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23).
The lake of fire, mentioned only in Revelation 19:20 and 20:10, 14-15, is the final hell, the place of eternal punishment for all unrepentant rebels, both angelic and human (Matthew 25:41). It is described as a place of burning sulfur, and those in it experience eternal, unspeakable agony of an unrelenting nature (Luke 16:24; Mark 9:45-46). Those who have rejected Christ and are in the temporary abode of the dead in hades/sheol have the lake of fire as their final destination.
But those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life should have no fear of this terrible fate. By faith in Christ and His blood shed on the cross for our sins, we are destined to live eternally in the presence of God.

The rebellion occurred long before Genesis chapter 6, when the fallen angels came to earth to pollute the seedline that would lead directly to Christ. II Peter also talks about the THREE earth and heaven ages- II Peter 3:5-8. The
"Spirits in Prison"- read Luke 16:19-31, we ALL go to paradise when we die- Ecclesiastes 12:6-7,
II Corinthians 5:8, and what did Christ tell the thief on the cross? THIS DAY I SHALL SEE YOU IN PARADISE. Paradise is divided by an impassible gulf, those who have been saved on one side, those who did not make salvation on the other... But these fallen angels who refused to be born of woman- born of water- are already condemned to die just as Satan is already condemned to die- Ezekiel chapter 28-turned into ashes- Satan being the only person BY NAME that is condemned to die also carries the name of Son of Perdition- to perish. Satan's rebellion happened in the FIRST earth and heaven age as God's word says, Satan drew ONE THIRD of God's children with him in his rebellion-Revelation 12:3-4. The fallen angels were part of that one third and will return with Satan when he arrives claiming to be Christ BEFORE CHRIST RETURNS-
II Thessalonians 2:1-4, Revelation 12:7-9. That is why Paul said, " For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head BECAUSE OF THE ANGELS-
I Corinthians 11:10... So Christ went to those souls on the bad side of paradise during His time in the tomb to offer salvation to all those souls that did not have the opportunity for salvation through Christ's blood. The Heavenly Father that we worship is a completely fair God and will not judge different souls by different standards. We all are judged by the complete Word of God.

If we consider the view that Genesis 6 described the unnatural lust and intercourse of rebellious angels with human women, we can find support for this in the fact that, in two instances in scripture, the situations of Sodom and Gomorrha and of Noah are mentioned together.
It is clear enough, to most, that the premier sin of Sodom and Gomorrha was unnatural intercourse of the kind that is so ubiquitous and pridefully celebrated today, as we approach ever nearer to the time of the return of Christ. Luke indicated that the world will be in such a state as it was in both Noah's and Lot's eras at Christ's return. The common thread between those two past eras, and our own present one, seems fairly obvious:
2 Peter 2 "5 And spared not the old world, but saved _Noah_ the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of _Sodom and Gomorrha_ into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;"
Luke 17 "26 And _as it was in the days_ of Noe, _so shall it be also in the days_ of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise _also as it was in the days of Lot_ ; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be _in the day when_ the *Son of man is revealed* .

Many other calculation of how many times the words Jesus , amen, are a confirmation of the true word of God. Umm, so Jesus brother Jude QUOTES ENOCH DIRECLY and you're going to disagree with him.
I wouldn't want to be on your shoes when you meet him.
I think Jesus may have a thing or two to say to you about calling his brother a liar.
Those quotation marks are there for a reason. You want to shovel, you're digging yourself quite the hole their buddy.

      Book 1 is definitely Cannon.
      Perhaps not the subsequent books.
But if it's good enough for Jude, it's good enough for me.

But we are told that Jesus went to
paradise WITH the thief that day. That didn’t happen because Paradise will not be available until at the end of Revelation when it is restored. What Jesus was saying was “TODAY ( in the midst of all these hellacious crucifixion), I say unto you, you WILL be with me in Paradise”. That’s a future promise. Not on that same day.
Punctuation is not in the original manuscripts, they were added by the translators. And not always in the right place.
