The person that gave this video a thumbs down is either jealous of this incredible ingenuity or has no idea of what they were watching. Very cool idea!
Me too watching for a long time with jan ridders, & a very few others, these people invest their time in resurrecting these wonderful devices many of them STILL make sense .. to make .. sensibly use too ! .. for geat is always free & available (SUN !)
I really like the design of the twisting system you have there to make insulated wiring. I'm into electrical work at the moment and we take out the old knob and tube wiring in houses every once in a while, and I just wonder if they twisted it like in the video. It makes sense that they must have made it that way, and then put tar on it. Of course it's very dirty to pull out of walls and whatever!

I don't know how it took me 6 month to realize you made a new video. Thanks for posting again!
So impressive. Engineers are amazing.

An elegant solution!

Very nicely done sir!
It would have been a need video to see the rest of the build for the entire Gramme Dynamo. Did you have plans you worked off of?
Great solution. How do you keep it from unwrapping?
I gave them a light coating of clear lacquer, you can see the aerosol can in the video. :)
Hmm, watching the cotton wrapping process makes me wonder if this technique could be used as a linear actuator, somehow.
Was this from a kit or scratch build? If it was a kit can you provide the company you got it from?
Hi, It was scratch built,
A Beautiful video.
Thank you for the kind comment. :)
thanks for the video sir, now we just need a gigmo, to wind armatures for folk with fat dumb fingers.
