Okay, so it's time to theorize. Someone had killed Dex, and we need to find out who.
-What we know is that it was a past lover of his, a girl who killed him, lied about it, and got pity from everyone. Now we need to discuss how he was killed.
-The most obvious choice is that he was killed with some kind of gas, which fits the gas mask imagery, and the lyrics "fill your
chest just like how you filled mine," "filling up my lungs / i'm six feet under / cast asunder."
-But what does asunder mean? I know I had to look it up, and it means apart, or into pieces. This could either mean that Dex
was cast apart from his lover because she killed him, or perhaps it is another clue to how he was killed. Perhaps he was
dismembered after death, or before death, to better hide the body? But that's doubtful, it's probably the first option.
-There's also another way he could have been killed - purposeful illness contraction, or basically germ warfare. The lyric
"Y'know you weren't the one that got infected / you built immunity to your own poison" lends itself to the theory that somehow,
the killer was able to build an immunity to some kind of deadly disease, and then purposefully caught it so she could expose
him to it. Not the most practical, and insanely hard to pull off, but then again, killing someone via deadly gas isn't exactly
practical either.
-One thing we definitely know about the mode of death was that it caused him a lot of pain. the lyric "He'll RIP said the priest /
but man that had to hurt," so it wasn't something that left no trace on the body, it is easy to tell he died in pain, but this does
not mean you can tell he was murdered. This leans toward the illness theory, though relating this to the gas theory wouldn't be
hard, because some poisonous gases leave lasting effects
-Doing some research lead me to a gold mine - it could possibly be both gas poisoning and illness at the same time. I present
to you: Anthrax. Anthrax is a very rare infection that can be caused by the inhalation, eating, or having skin contact with a
wound, of a certain bacteria, and can lead to death. It acts like a simple cold or flu in the first stage when infected through the
lungs, before moving onto the second stage which is 90% fatal, so it would be easy to deliberately poison someone with it
and not have them know they're poisoned. Plus, there's a vaccine for it, so the killer could easily vaccinate herself before
exposing him to the bacteria. I know I'm getting much more into specifics now, and that there are plenty of choices about how
you could poison someone, and that maybe even VocaCircus didn't think this far into it, but I don't really care.
-Now that we've narrowed down the method to either gas poisoning or deliberate infection, we need to find out who did it. Enter the video clips. Starting at 3:05 and ending at 3:28, there are clips from other VocaCircus songs: Last of Me, Poltergeist, Goodbye, and Emotionless. We aren't sure why they're there, but we do know all of these songs have something to do with death, and the clips from Goodbye and Emotionless in this video both have to do with death. Last of Me and Emotionless only metaphorically deal with death, as in Last of Me being about someone being so far gone that death doesn't matter and Emotionless being about someone so broken that they want death. Poltergeist and Goodbye both physically deal with death, Poltergeist being about someone haunting their lover/friend after they die, and trying to help them through things but making it worse, and Goodbye about someone killing themselves. So I think these videos weren't just added because they deal with death, I think the Vocaloids in these videos are our suspects. Then who are they?
-Last of Me, Megurine Luka; Poltergeist, Kagamine Len; Goodbye, Hatsune Miku; and Emotionless, Avanna. That's all we know.
We can only eliminate Len from this because he's not a girl, but all of the others are still on the table because they all could
have been in a relationship with Dex, and they're all girls (we know the killer is female because of the lyric "Here lies the man /
lies the girl / if only in your world,")
-There's only one other clue we have to finding the killer, the voice in the background towards the end (starting at 3:43). It's a
definite female, Vocaloid voice, and if it matches to either Luka, Miku, or Avanna, then we have our killer. But this is where I
need your help, whoever you are reading this. Because I may be a theorizer, but I'm not very good at discerning Vocaloids, I've
only been listening for a few months. So if you know who the voice belongs to, tell me in the replies to this. It's been fun,
theorizing about something that I probably unhealthily into, but it's a good song, and I didn't see any theories in the comments
when I first started writing this, so I decided to give it a go. Thanks for reading all this BS I just spilled from my head, and I
hope it made even a little bit of sense.

@sans. The voice, to me, sounds like Avanna or Luka- but mostly Avanna? If you listen closely to 3:05 and forward, they both have a quality that Miku does not. The nasally-sort of tone? That's definitely Avanna. Again, could be Luka- but I'm willing to bet otherwise. ^^
I thought it was luka because in the song “the last of me” she sings “my lungs are toxic now. Don’t get close or you will drown” so it could imply that she poisoned him somehow and dumped his body in a lake to make it look like he tripped in and because he was sick he couldn’t get out?

So I guess Last of Me is about someone who does something bad or is hurt by someone and has to leave their old self behind (You can keep the last of me/I don't care, I am obsolete) because in order to move on with their life they need to be 'reborn', making their old self nothing to them. However, this song is about a fear of their past emotions (hatred, injustice, need for revenge - the theme from Karma) coming back to them, because they didn't actually deal with them the first time. They are unable to bury their past entirely, and it comes back to bite them either because they did something they regret or someone else hurt them and they still want to get back at them for it. The way the lyrics are in the beginning about being immune to one's own poison make me think that this is less about someone's past coming back to bite them, though, and more about trying to move on vs a core need to actually get closure (in this case, getting revenge = killing the other person). That's just my thoughts, though.

My theory/interpretation of this song is that Dex is dead, and it's Lukas fault. Let me explain; Dex says that "You knew you weren't the one who got infected," this means that there was a infection going around in this song. Then, later he sings "Filling up my lungs, I'm six feet under, cast asunder," and "Fill your chest, just how you filled mine," which is a nod to saying that Dex got infected and is dead. Later, Luka enters the picture. While we know that Dex's death is 'someone's' fault-- because of the line(s), "I'm your dark, edgy disgrace," and "Now I've just begun your pity party, can't start without me, so here we are"-- and that someone seems to be Luka, as she make an appearance in this and 'replies' with, "steal the breath from my lips."
tl;dr, Luka seemed to have created the infection, making Dex angry--

Yes, Miku and Luka were hurting each other (there is no other canon information other than that), therefore Luka was hurting Miku, which is why that song is on that list

K so what I got out of this was that Zombie badass Dex came back to life to kill one of the female vocaloid after they killed him, presumably by drowning or suffocation “fill your lungs just like how you filled mine.” Yeet my dudes, yeet indeed.

Circus, wow. It's weird to say this, but, it feels like a whole new style featured here...
It's difficult to explain, but, obviously you've not used the 1/4th note chorus style you used, but the overall song feels different to most of your older songs... I think it's potentially the more vocal focused aspect, and any instrument solos feel less busy...
Regardless, it feels like more of a style shift than Deja Vu was, which.. you may disagree with..
but yeah.. whoa.. this is good.. From a production standpoint it potentially feels even more professional/industry standard than your other songs, somehow(?)
