I understand and thanks for the information, I see that Deako is a beginner in the electrical industry.

Gentlemen of Deako... Could you answer some of the questions we have ??

My first concern is how do you release an improperly installed wire and apparently this question is being ignored by the Deako reps.

Yes, they ignore the question because they have no answers, they have designed something that is really not as functional as they say, inventions are made to facilitate labor, not to complicate it, Deako thinks they have invented something great and honestly it is not like that.@markhelms2287

I understand, but you do not explain how to remove the cables from a Deako box, once the wires have been introduced into the small holes, then to remove them you have to cut them ??

How do you connect a 3 way and 4 way wires to you deako switch

You lost me. Can any switch become a smart switch, or does that switch need to have been initially wired for that?

i bought a simple motion sensor switch. i plug it into my outlet and it does nothing. my electrical box is by deako so im not sure why this is happening

I had the same issue with a different switch. It turned out that the neutral wire was not connected. I am sure that is why yours did not either.

Any tips on removing a wire from the terminals? Im a tech that goes behind sub crews to fix their work and almost every hot check these switches are improperly terminated. I've read that I should "twist" the wire out but twisting isn't an option. I fight the switch and the wires a lot of times breaking the wire off in the terminals.

Did you ever figure this out? Having the same issue.

@@patrickfaulds5683 the only way I have been able to do anything is to cut the wire enough to make a pigtail and then tie it to the desired conductor. It creates a lot of wire nuts and takes up space but it works. These switches suck.

      @@TXJourneyman These switches really stink.

@@PedroTinnirello-ny9rv they absolutely do. They recently came out with a single gang switch with screw terminals and those are way way way better but instead of making this change across the board they opted for pigtails on 2, 3 and 4gangs, and some come faulty out the package pigtails aren't set in the termination holes completely. Creates a giant overfilled messy box and sometimes after you wire nuts everything you find that one of the pigtails is faulty and you have to start all over and even wait on more supplies to finish the job. DEAKO!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! HAVE ALL THE SWITCH KITS SCREW TERMINALS!!!

These deako switches and cradle boxes are no good. In construction I can tell you firsthand that these cradles always fail. The motion sensors always fail and stop working regardless of the mode, the dimmers constantly fail and need replacement. Please do not waste time and money on these.

It's true, buying these switches is throwing money away, I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

Honestly, I don't see that this system that Deako is introducing to the market is a great invention, they are a bit complicated, many wires to connect, I have 25 years working in the construction industry and it is the first time that I see an almost totally ridiculous invention, I don't see that these switches are the great thing, I prefer the conventional ones, by the way, I just bought a new house from DR Horton in Florida, the house has those switches that by the way do not match the outlets, it looks ridiculous, I began to replace them with conventional Eaton models, they look better and honestly some of these Deako switches are somewhat loose inside, they did not convince me, I also do not see that they are of a high quality, to be able to install Deako, the electrical boxes must be deep because space is needed for the wires and space for the Deako box, I just removed a Deako box in my house and it is a mess of cables, behind the box the wires are super compressed and tight
