Nice video! I live nearby and can recommend a ferry from Lihovar that brings you near the Podoli swimming pool (free of charge if you have the public transport card) :) and besides Portheimka, there is a (little posh) coffee place Kavárna, co hledá jméno, a student coffee/pub Jarda Majer, an outdoor cool pub Radlická kulturní sportovna and now with the sunny days coming, great to visit Smíchovská náplavka with cute little cafés and pubs. + an exhibition place (sometimes weirder than MeetFactory) FUTURA on Holeckova street.
Also in ostrava theres always where to wash you hands for free apart from lots of food to buy. Unlike in andel smichov hyper fancy shop center. Important to notice? Good to know?
I love this part of Prague, going from the Railway bridge to that shoping mall, than back to river and down to Malá Strana that's like my go to weekend walk.
Loved this marathon video. That Aussie coffee shop was a fantastic touch. I used to live in Adelaide and Woomera. I'd love to visit all but Minsky Gardens looks beautiful!!! Another great video from Valery and Mr. Cameraman!!🌹🙏👍
Awesome video as always Valerie and Vaclav. Thanks for the tips as I must say Smichov has been one of the lesser areas I have explored apart from the usual. Thanks and keep up the valuable content.
You guys are fantastic. I always enjoy a beautiful cemetery, especially still being able to walk away :) Valeri always brings history with a smile, Hello Vaclav.
ahoj mike tady super vlog sitting at the bar in u kalendu my panarama was the old spring pivovar and the admiral boat a decet piv jsou den hasice jsou den delali august ja jsem tady sto percent halleluja
Nice informations, as someone borned in Prague, I didn't really know this part of Prague well, I knew pretty much just Anděl metro station and few other places. Most of Prague on the left side of river was like Asia for me, now I know it better only because of my both sisters live on left side of Vltava. But my map in my head still has plenty of white places which are still waiting for beying discovered. 🙂 For some reason, when we were moving, it was almost always in Prague 4.
Yep! There is a saying in Czech: "Březen za kamna vlezem, Duben ještě tam Budem" Loosely translated: "March, we'll climb the heating, April we'll still be there"
I LOVE "ART NERD" MOMENTS. It was also cool to see Vaclav. I think that if Americans want to go to Prague in the next year, they should go ahead and purchase a ticket. With fuel prices going up, low airfare will not last. They can prep for their trip by watching RPG videos.
Thanks for your videos! Pity, that you missed the tomb of a child, called "svatá holčička" (saint girl) on the cemetery. She is venerated be local people and connected with an urban legend.
Hi guys! Although I have never commented, I began to watch you when Nico started sharing that you had created a channel :) I have learned many hidden things from the "expat eye" thanks to you! Anyway. I like living in Smichov but many areas are depressing as they are very neglected, just like you have shown. Although there are many new urban projects and businesses, I am looking forward to seeing what the district becomes. By the way, I love to go to Lokalblok not to eat or drink but to use the boulder they have in the basement which I highly recommend :) There is also the Smichov Naplavka where you can go see/feed the swans, right under the Vyšehradský železniční bridge.
🤣🤣 yes the pose with the large bottle did look like something else🤣🤣🤣 but you guy’s always make me laugh which is definitely needed at present moment in time👍. Nice set of boots Valerie😉 Keep up the good work, doesn’t matter what you cover it’s always informative, fun and obviously a lot of time and energy spent doing them😉
@@RealPragueGuides Hey! a little secret, it looks like I will be playing a concert in Prague in October!! but my girlfriend and I are beginning to talk about taking some days in the summer to come visit!

Give me the Cemetery over the Shopping Mall any day Valery. Still cold in Prague,by the look of your cool gloves 🙂
Eurotrip is one of my favorite movies.

Liked #155, the ever cool local atmosphere of Andel and Smichov. "HAHA" (@ 00:47)
Smichov would be my ideal area to live. A good workers' neighborhood not on the expat radar...
Coming over for Easter your channel Is so helpful! Looks like it will still be pretty cold I'd better prep for that 😜

Vaclav is our favorite walking tour guide (note that we only took one walking tour in Prague).
Valery , I love your humour and jokes !!

@@ericderami that's great! We should hang out! (and also make the collab video).
We were planning on staying in Smichov in December, bu then Omicron hit. So we had to cancel.
