@@user-xy7ed6jy2r unfortunately we only get dark black interior in ireland so I don’t think we will ever see the cream interior .. I think it looks cool 😎
Thank you for taking the time to do this comparison, I really appreciate your video, i had ordered Kona N-Line Manual 1.0 T.Gdi on sept, i would have instead went al the way from dublin to your dealer if i ever saw your videos. so i assume MHEV doesn't exist in ireland right?! i am pretty sure i saw a car at the dealership (wasn't sure if it was hybrid or petrol only when i opened the driver seat i spotted a label under the seat with Li-Ion warning and some other labels like fire or smoking risk. So maybe that box and label was universal across all models in case they will ever be fitted with mild hybrid system from the factory ?! Does the car indeed have Lane Following Assist (in addition to Lane Keeping Assist, where LFA will steer for you before actually crossing the lane borders i drove the very base model of i10 231 or 232 (manual rear windows, manual mirrors, sunvisor without any lights or mirrors) and it had LFA, while i30 N-line 231 doesn't have LFA, JUST LKA i see on Hyubdai Ireland specs page shows that all 3 trims got (Cruise Control with Smart Stop & Go) I would assume this is hyundai branding of radar cruise control, is this available with manual gearbox petrol N-Line ? Note: Honda has it on their manual models as i saw on some US youtube channels, obviously wont launch the car for you but it does maintain the distance from the car front of you "LED Positioning Lights" What is meant by this? do they mean tail lights ?! or parking lights or the lights that turn on depending on your direction of steering, just like in most VWs ? one last feedback, how do you find the Kona 1.0 T.GDi in response? i drove plenty of i30's N-Line and only one Kona(previous facelift witb 60-70k kms) from GoCar the i30 was a hit and miss each car has different power and turbo lag (all were low milages
Hey glad it helped thanks for watching! Unfortunately we don’t get MHEV in Ireland but it seems to be common in Europe 🙂 It will have LKA and LFA ✅ Ok with the smart cruise control .. my understanding is that it is available on the HEV hybrid and the EV full electric but not the manual version. The smart cruise control will indeed maintain the distance from the car in front and when they stop , you stop and when they go , you go ✅ perhaps this relates to the HEV and EV being automatic transmission which would make the function easier to operate LED positioning lights is basically saying that the front and rear lighting is LED when the car is parked .. ie the parking lights ✅ The Kona and i30 share similar engines .. the Kona does feel more responsive.. I can’t be sure if there is a physical difference in how air enters the turbo charger but it’s possible that the route is shorter on Kona. The i30 does lag a little . I think it would work better with a shorter final drive in the gearbox.. I believe in Europe they get a 1.5 TGDi MHEV instead of 1.0 What v8 do you have ? Hope this helps ! Thanks !
I enjoy seeing your good reviews kona is really amazing in every way, hyundai is the leader I ordered 1.6T it cames with 7dct speed thank you for the explanation🙏👏
@@doolanbrian thx a bunch! I was checking and this new Kona is as wide as the ix35 and only 6cm shorter! However it has the same boot space as the ix35. Impressive!
It’s a great replacement for ix35 🙂🙂
Great Video Brian
The New Kona looks Amazing
The N line spec gives it great little touches
Thanks for watching mark!
Thank you for this video! I've been searching for a video of this car with a manual gear!!

Fantastic looking car and really nice to drive and steering is so light and the gear shift feels so smooth like the Honda .
Agreed David .. the gear shift is precise and the steering is super light 🙂🙂

What happened to the huge n-line split spoiler? Is that country specific?

Is the new kona dual clutch transmission or a different transmission?
Are you talking about the hybrid version or the petrol?🙂
@@doolanbrian the regular gas version 😅
@@umbrawitchx1943 we don’t get that variant in Ireland, so I can only guess on this one, but I’m assuming it’s still has dual clutch transmission 🙂👍
Why does the U.K. version have a DCT auto and the rest of the world seems to have the 8 speed torque converter auto?
Hi Barry, unfortunately I wouldn’t have the information on that so I can’t help there!
Yes nobody seems to know
I would assume DCT would be more efficient ?! something to do with emissions ?! just an assumption.
Nice kona.

That centre console is horrific
Is the N line different in cosmetic only or does it have more power than the lower trims?
