You never stop learning stuff if you're paying attention Andy, so you learned something new covering this for us and that's always a good thing. Given that it's 13 plus nautical miles off shore perhaps the best solution would be simply to blow it up right were it is right now and get rid of the problem for everyone. For those unfamiliar with the difference between nautical miles and normal miles - a nautical mile is longer, so 13 nautical miles is something like 15 or 16 normal miles. Ought to be a safe distance.
Yes, it's 11 km offshore the ship.is sat in front of the wind farm (the distance of the wind farm from the shore is well documented) and under 12 nautical miles so it's not in international waters. The mainstream media are not reporting the correct facts, the local council are not communicating with residents about the severe dangers this unstable cargo poses, and there is no sign of offloading of the 20,000 tonnes of ammonia nitrate either concerning!
Andy, i live locally and have some zoom lenses I have managed to photo it. If you want to meet up I can go to the next spot and we can film it together if you like? It's about 5 nautical miles off the coastline so 6 miles. It's not 15 miles offshore so it's in UK waters contrary to what we are being told in the mainstream media.
I'm very glad you covered it, and twice now, thanks. The situation needs to be highlighted again, because it was being forgotten. Apparently in the original news about it the report said it has several problems with its sea worthiness which needs resolving before it can move anywhere.
Budgie smugglers, lol. Never mind, Andy, it was still nice to see a lit-up ship off the coast of Margate, very picturesque. I live oop North and not been to the seaside this year yet.
Andy, maybe you should try to get some footage of the ill-regular migration people coming in on the small boats 🚤 beeches. I don’t think tv does much favours illustrating their landings. I imagine tv shows a very glamorous sanitised version of landings.
You need to buy sky binoculars . Those glasses that the sellers say can pinpoint galaxies in the Universe . I bought a pair and i cannot see to the end of my street.
If you have a read up you will find that it ran aground early on in its journey and sustained damage to the hull and rudder. If it moves it has to be accompanied by a tug (it was prior to anchoring off of Margate) but currently they still haven’t found a port that will accept it for repairs/unloading.
The red bit of the hull you see on the picture is the part of the hull which will be under water when the ship is full of cargo You only see the red part when the ship is empty as it sits higher in the water
Its 11kms off the coast in UK waters just in front of Thanet wind farm. I have images, the cargo is highly explosive and would decimate the coastline and damage almost all of Thanet, BERUIT has 2500 tommes of ammonia nitrate and produced an earthquake of 3.5, this has 20,000 tomes ivlf it was to explode i dread to think of the size of the tidal wave, damage to property, loss of life air and sea pollution too ! Its serious yet nobody is talking about how to offload the cargo, its in uk waters so we can offload the cargo
Andy you have to check out what’s going on with shipping! Guy has an extensive naval career and was all over the Dali incident. Actually called out this ship in a couple of videos ago. That ship is thankfully its well over the horizon…if something happens to it hopefully not,it will just be a visual with no effects to England! 🇺🇸
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. About 50M tonnes of AN is produced globally each year so millions of tonnes is shipped around the world with no problems.
Currently on AIS there are 15 cargo ships off there and that’s a place they sit at anchor many cargo ships. Globally that product gets shipped all over the globe. Ships from all nationalities. Nothing new at all. Also looking at Ruby ship and its SSI number You mention it’s Malta flagged and heading destination is Malta 🇲🇹
Don't stress it, Andy. You did a "Michael Caine" in the Movie "Get Carter"..... I made a mistake 😂😂😂 Integrity still intact imho. If your channel allowed this I would send a link to relevant scene - just for giggles 🤣
Thank you for the correction. It's goid to see an honest correction.
@@PeterPete I'm not sure dishonest: just inaccurate.
@@PeterPete You are a troll
Andy's such a polite guy, one of the most reasonable voices in this sphere. I think we can forgive him an honest mistake.
Thanks for the update Andy. Makes a bit more sense now :)
Yeah heard about this about a week ago.

Hi Andy 👍Never mind it's still too close.
Its really close to the wind farm off the margate coast.

@@twocatstravel do you think someone should tell. Millipede that his precious windfarm is in peril.

Fascinating stuff I wonder if it will go bang

‘What is going on with shipping’ did a good video about it, around 10 days ago.
Stay safe, Andy. These people aren't to be trusted.
the ship needs to be moved if the fertilize gets wet it would not be good that close to shore.
You have done nothing wrong and "followed the rules at all times" !!!! 😂👍🇬🇧
That picture of the ship off Margate with the explosives is empty its to high in the in water to be fully laden 😱😱

It's what's on the horizon.
If I'm honest, Russia is the least of my worries.
Bigger worries lie within Westminster.
You thought it was closer because those ships are bloody huge!
They are
@AndyTheGabbyCabby I sent you a comment if you are interested let me know
At around 300m x 30m they'd fill a high St. 😂
@AndyTheGabbyCabby Many thanks for your correction Andy, good on you mate!👍

Yes i live in the Dover area and no I don't need a new sofa.
be good if someone could get a drone out too view it
And thats how rumours and conspiracies get spread about.

"I got it a little bit wrong" Story of your life mate.
I thought the dodgy ship was simply dumped off the coast of give-everything-away Britain.
SS Richard Montgomery at the isle of grain in Kent. Has 1400 ton of explosives still on board. 2nd world war ship
Yeah and its getting rusty because they are cheaply made ships and the masts might fall off and hit the bombs. But nothing to see here move along!
I don't know what is worse Andy 🤔 The thought of that ship full of Explosive material 🔥, Or you in your Budgy Smugglers😂👍

It is just outside British waters which goes 12 nautical miles from the shore.
