i fully agree. i have played this with my cousins and solo and have enjoyed every minute of it. i find many things in this review are untrue and shouldnt be listened to. Yes, there are many similar games on the market, so to come up with a new AND fun idea is hard. Using Formula 1 in a new way, Codemasters have created an exciting game for both single play and multiplay.
i bought this game yesteday.. its real fun and funny. yh it is simular to mario kart obviously but its still fun and hilarious. yh having the official F1 licences does make it better especially if your an F1 fan. I think where it differs for mario kart is.. its a bit more technical you have to corner properly and building up the KERs is so cool. Some of the negative things said in this review can be said about mario kart.
Plus in F1 everyone knows the cars are all together in the first lap and its chaotic cars get damaged and all sorts. This happens in F1 race stars... LOVE THIS GAME!!
If i wanted a carting game with power ups and boosts I would go for Little Big Planet Karting. The games style is appropriate for the franchise and the fact that you can make your own tracks make the game more durable.
This game could've been great if the tracks had drift system for corners that boost system doesn't cut it, played a bit more frantic with a greater sense of speed (the game felt too slow) and had no F1 license to hold it back. Those were my problems with it

Only 3 in the history of F1 have competed in an actual F1 race, with only 1 finishing a race. Although having said that there was a recent Woman F1 Test driver
This is supposed to be like Lego Racers. The best racing car game I've ever played. Unfortunately, my disk got messed up so I can't play it anymore. :/
agree, ive had tons of fun with this game with my cousins and family, its amazing to play this game on a 50" screen and 4 players, only problem i had is the price, damn too expensive

I like f1 2012-esque games but this is still great fun. I agree with you about the price
They still do formation laps in f1, just for different reasons.
It's so they can ensure the safety of the cars and the track. (safety car included)
