Looks mediocre to me. You barely did anything strand related. 95% of the footage was the usual Hand Cannon / Barricade Titan gameplay loop. Void/Arc are definitely still the superior pvp subclasses for Titans.
Eh, I gotta disagree personally. The strand subclass really depends on the user’s play style…*like by a lot*… I’ve seen titans go absolutely crazy with stand due to their preferred play style directly benefiting from the subclass even against high level players, but I’ve also seen players almost never use their abilities to their true purposes and just ultimately not get the best bang for buck for the subclass, so there’s also that. Also exotic choice is relatively important too, not to say that dunemarchers isn’t a good choice, but there are exotics that would better synergize with the subclass. An obvious example being abeyant leap for a more passive play style using suspend grenades, or even Armamentarium if you want to fully lean into a aggressive grappling play style (which works really well if I do say so myself). Basically long story short it works for some people VERY well, not other people not so much, it just depends how you can make the class work for you or not. And exotic choices can help with how you want to play the class too.
Not really. The only bufff I would really see being given is a buff to melee recharge for titan and warlock, but nothing else. Strand is really dependent on how well you can utilize it’s set, and if your play style matches with the subclass. I’ve seen another youtuber do REALLY well with titan strand, playing pushy and aggressive, and I’ve seen more passive player titan that use the shackle grenade instead to have a very strong defensive against anybody while still being able to fight others by pushing. Imo strand titan seems to be looked at in the wrong light sometimes, there definitely is a spot for the subclass in crucible. It’s just important that you’re able to find your style with it, and if not maybe the class just ain’t for ya.
Yea, but I also feel like a 1:54 base CD is really steep for what is essentially a shoulder charge that gets consumed on press, not contact. Still the instant follow up and quick dash is nice, just steep CD.
Titan melee just keeps getting worst, its not fun anymore risking closing the gap at someone, it wifs more often then not or it pushes enemys away making closing the gap pointless sad days
Strand swing melee, followed by titan melee, kill. Or Strand melee, followed by strand melee, kill. The strand melee isn’t terrible, as it can get some nice saucy kills and combos but it does have minor tracking issues, but definitely not to the degree of warlock’s melee bad tracking. It can be combatted with being smart with how you use it to make sure you don’t miss. Honestly the only problem I do have with the melee is the accidental usage of the third melee if you get that kill with the second swing, it is quite easy to do.
I think Strand Titan is fairly powerful but imo the melee going thru ppl really holds the subclass back. I feel like I can't trust it at all to do its job. Ultimately I dont wanna start talking about lowering cooldowns too much cuz I actually think PvP feels really good right now due to the slide nerf being removed, AE being much better although imo could still be better especially with slugs and snipers and with the ability spam being reduced. I dont want abilities to be rampant again as that makes the game feel terrible. With that being said I do think certain things could be tuned for Strand. I think the Titan melee could have better hit reg and could have its cooldown SLIGHTLY reduced. I think the Threadling grenade could have a shorter cooldown and I think the Warlock melee could be buffed. I also think Threadlings need some kind of buff in PvP as they feel irrelevant most of the time when I try playing Broodweaver. Suggesting these things scares me tho cuz I think Strand was launched in a great place and I believe its super close to being where it should be. Strand Hunter is the best and the funnest tho and its not even close. Having double grapples, the rope dart melee and the slam on Hunter gives it such a powerful and fun kit. The super is the most versatile super I've ever seen and I absolutely love it. Basically I main Threadrunner now and im never taking it off.

Personally I embrace mobility and aggression on my titan with the Armamentarium exotic to get the two grapples, and I’ve been really successful with my build. But I’ve also seen that build work and it’s a very good too.
