This describes the idea that Cthulhu, a god-like cosmic entity, lies dormant in the sunken city of R’lyeh or in this case (Bikini Bottom) beneath the ocean. this is one of the best videos on TH-cam man the references are great please keep up the great work!

I love this retake.
So from what im getting, Spongebob was so grief stucken about losing gary to Partick that he got possessed by this cosmic entity named "Cthulhlu", who now uses Spongebob as it's vessel/host.
It doesn't stop there, but it's mere presence seems to corrupt (as we see with Larry the Lobster) and likely kill some bikini bottomites (as we see with Plankton taking his own life in "one course meal").
Despite what Spongebob had done, he feels regretful about what he had unleashed and starts feeling the guilt anf Loneliness, but can't go back now as he's now nothing but a puppet to the entity.
(Thats my interpretation of it all at least)
Still, I appluad these series of vids, it's genuinely, even without the use of major Jumpscares!
I will create some lore rant here: From what seems like our person let's call got DVD's from someone. Which would probably be by psychopath editor who made those ep different than supposed too, by each episode although it seems we have three beings who are sane of their existence or "stuck" inside DVD. BootlegBob who actively hurts Patrick and other characters, Grey Squid being who seems to force story to turn into lost episodes plot and visits them as hallucination of sort/real being, Nickelodeon mascot fish who only interacted with BootlegBob so far judging him for "crimes" we must yet to know, from world of this DVD except relevant characters nobody seems to be "made" into cut of this episodes, only having important/minor characters like Larry, Sandy Cheeks, Planktons family, etc. So maybe it's actual Grey Entity being who through unatural power sent DVD's to person as it's only one who constantly appears through this DVD eps except this one barely, forcing story to turn into lost eps plot as i mentioned. I don't think this series will follow their origins of creepypasta or interpretation of Vibing Leafs videos except Nickelodeon fish.

I’ve genuinely heard of him so many times with lost episode and noedolekciN related stuff but I can’t find any real info on him (he probably isn’t even a real person but I just thought I’d ask).
I’ve actually had this question in the back of my head during this series. What ever happened to Gary? Last we saw he was with Patrick, and now he’s dead. Will he be showing up in future episodes or is he just gone?

I seriously dig the direction that this spongebob horror series is taking! It seems like past spongebob creepypastas like 'plankton got served' and the dumped bootleg are being tied together in some sort of overarching cosmic horror narrative. In addition, there appears to be a lovecraftian inspiration to all this, judging by the quotes from H.P Lovecraft in the entries so far, and the cthulu-like figure that appears throughout all of the videos.
I think incorporating this lovecraftian/cosmic horror aspect into it works wonderfully well with a show like Spongebob Squarepants. Not only does it take place in the ocean, the place where a good number of lovecraft's stories focus around, but given that the oceans are obscured in mystery. Plus, the weirdness and abstractness of the original show also contributes heavily to why these can work together so well.
Since the cthulu-like entity seems to manipulate the emotions and struggles of the characters, I predict that the entity will manipulate Squidward into taking his own life by feeding on his constant misery in his day-to-day life. Overall, as both a Spongebob and horror enjoyer, I am eager to see just where this series will go in the future, as well as any other potential nods to other Spongebob creepypasta/horror media.
