I always enjoy these episodes with Joseph and his Mother. SPOILER ALERT: It's sad to me that they just stopping writing for her character, especially after Burton Yarbrough, Ben Romero, died.

The system wasn't as fucking stupid it seems back then. At least as far as traffic law. Nowadays, it seems we just want to warehouse everyone away for decades and decades. I can't find anything on the case through Google. The records may have been expunged. Can't really confirm or deny this actually happened and I'm not 100% sure about trusting an entertainment program as to its authenticity.
I myself enjoy the old commercials, just be thankful the show wasn't sponsored by Kent cigarettes which had pure asbestos filters when I was a boy in the 50s.
