I made one of these a while ago when seeing your tutorial, and it turned out nice. I used a real jade gemstone for the top of the handle. I'm about to make a new one. Nice tutorial!
I used a drumstick form a drum not a chicken and removed the top circle which I then took of and used hot glue so it has a bit of wood texture for most part.
This is pure genius, why the hell didn't I think of this?? Thank you very much! Rushing off to Hobby Lobby for some materials and then I'll be magic as fuck.

I tried making one of these yesterday but I was lazy and my pattern on my wand metres together. I just watched this tutorial and I really like yours so I think I'm going to try and make another one! I also really like the look of the metallic paint
I made very similar ones last year - though I used rolled up paper as a base instead of a chopstick, so they'de be safer for children to play with - they turned out looking almost exactly like yours and I still have some of them and love them - so pretty! ^_^ Nice video!
