I love how pocketable this is, I really like the SP but I’m still kinda leaning towards this one. I feel like the 28xx has slightly better controls as well, tho can’t be sure until it’s in hand
@ANBERNIC Hope you guys are reading this. I have a request for you! Please return with your RG300X handheld and give it the internals of your RG28XX. Call it the ANBERNIC RG300X Plus.
And after downloading, the answer is “no”. The “RG28XX-EN-240412” release seems to still be a little better for my DC stuff. I’ll have to dig deeper and see if it’s a default settings thing or something else, I guess. Or just stick with the earlier release.

Whether that's me just being dumb and looking in the wrong place or whether it's something we can't fix without Anbernic's help, I don't know. I mainly use this for Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast which can tolerate some dips so it's not a complete dealbreaker ... just disappointing.
You can switch dpad and analogue stick and 95% DC games you can use DPAD. Onky N64 some games it's difficult but this is a small device no room for a Analog stick.

Hope you could upload a bare version (without ROMs) of all your updated firmware. 40-50GB took too long to download on slow internet connections.
Same here. It tooks forever to download. And the download even failed often.

my personal opinion (and I haven't got a way of proving it) is that the firmware from 1.0.3 onwards has underclocked the SoC somehow
It's kinda sad it doesn't have a analog stick, considering it can play n64 and dreamcast
At least it can display to TV and maybe wired multiplayer.
