What do you use to clean all the adhesive ?
Look at the video they left most of it lol. 90% isopropyl alcohol or goo gone. It doesn't take much.
@@estate-tidus1007 I tried 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and it didn't work. I ended up scraping it all off with a plastic scraper.
Use heat+ just scraping & if there is any glue left that is what you can clean up with alcohol@@peterromano1911
Probably going to buy the battery and the replacement adhesive. My battery doesn't last very long. Goes from 100 to 80% very quickly. Not doing anything. Phone at idle.
Can you do water test for s8 plz?
And this after repair is water resistant?

Lol. That's a very easy battery change my friend! Try changing out a new iPones battery or even rear glass. Wait, you can't! Unless you own the laser machine to get the adhesive off the back glass.
This is about as easy as it gets lol.

Hey,do the glue comes out from the corners after sometime or make it ugly after attaching the back panel with glue ?
just don't put too much (you are replacing the previous adhesive with the glue). and make sure that everything is set prior to glueing it in because you have to destroy the glue and replace it every time you open up the phone
Nice. Reminds me of when I took apart my old Asus Zenfone 3 Laser phone. PITA due to all the tiny clips holding the back cover on. I'm going to do this as soon as my replacement battery comes as my OEM battery got some severe bloat and pushed some of the back cover up. Thanks for the step by step!

the op8 pro isn't really waterproof to begin with. the better glueing job you do the less likely it is for water to damage any parts. also, a phone case can protect it from things like taking it out in the rain etc.
Yes if it's done correctly
I use t7000, remove the old redundant glue first then apply a good amount of the new glue. Apply heat (I used a hair dryer) around the edges for a min then seal the phone.
I didn't submerge my phone in the water but I always take my phone while showering every single day after repair. Didn't face any issues

What is the little white dot on the screw that you remove ? I couldn't take it off, it was paint to me. Is this the guarantee seal ?

just buy the ifixit kit and do it yourself. took me maybe 20min being very careful. the longest part of this whole process is calibrating the battery post-installation
