    Sorry about the ads! I've always refused to monetize my channel but it looks like this is TH-cam's new policy unfortunately!

    Excellent! A very good explanation of this part of the voice, with sound tangible examples. Thank you once again John Paul for illuminating so clearly what, for so many, seems mysterious and ellusive.

      I don't recommend the use of scales. Before the voice is built repetitive scales are dangerous and once the voice is built then why not sing songs? I recommend my '4 Octave Scale' video for more information on this subject.

    I guess my Dear Jussi that's why you applied to my Channel .sandoor Konya had an excellent Passage...and a Legato. He mentioned that often in Interviews that the " aufsteigende Mittellage" ( upraising Middle Register if I translate this correctly) is one of the Key Point of a Lyrical Spinto Tenore....you explain that wonderfully in this section...Thank you.

    • @JussiPaul
      @JussiPaul  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Konya is one of my favourite tenors. I was lucky enough to speak with Maestro Frisell before he died and the few things he said helped me to find my high notes correctly.

    I know exactly what you mean as i can get this happening and its amazing to hear high notes in full voice. But . Yes but, it's evasive at times . Especially after singing mixed pub rock songs. It gets fuzzy and doesn't turn at times.

      I did not really grapsed the order of practicing with those higher tones.
      I am trying to work on my Passaggio tones at the current time and I tend to constrict when getting to G4.
      Should I start with the Ou falseto exercise?

    Hello Jussi, you seem to be one of the best opera singing teachers in youtube, do you have any quick tip conscerning my Bb4-C5 area (its in the second half of this video th-cam.com/video/KY7chmDRux0/w-d-xo.html ), on how to make it sound more operatic? Also, do you believe I sound more like a baritone or tenor?
    Thank you very much in advance.

    • @JussiPaul
      @JussiPaul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow! That's quite a range you have! You certainly sound like a tenor in the high notes though to my ears the vibrato is a little fast which could mean there's a little constriction. I'd need to hear the notes around middle C to be sure of your vocal fach. Do you have a link to those notes?

    • @rafaeljannotti3002
      @rafaeljannotti3002 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JussiPaul thanks Jussi! Here I go from the middle C to F4, gonna upload here to go faster. I did without vibrato to make it a bit clearer:

      @@rafaeljannotti3002 You certainly have an impressive voice! I really couldn't say for sure what your vocal fach is but I would guess that you were either baritone or dramatic tenor from what I can hear. I would be very happy to do a lesson with you if you have the interest? I can usually tell within a few minutes what vocal fach a student is. It is only when I hear the student's falsetto register that I can make a definite decision as to the vocal fach. Let me know if you would be interested in taking a lesson.
