Good but it went on two series too many. The script writers were making it up as they went along, back of a fag packet writing and it showed.. And two of the ’'children'' looked as old as their mother !! Hawes played her part well but should have been given more to work with. Still, the scenery made it worth hanging around for a bit...
I despise the modern trend of having actors introduce their characters. It shatters any illusion left, AKA breaking the third wall which quite has always been a big no-no. It's not realty TV.
