A Spanish bikie has risen to the top of the powerful outlaw motorcycle gang’s international ranks, taking over from Australian Mark Buddle who was arrested in Northern Cyprus last year and is in custody facing drugs charges.
There is a new World Commander of the Comanchero bikie gang - Alex Vare.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal the Spanish bikie has taken over from Australian Mark Buddle at the top of the powerful outlaw motorcycle gang’s international ranks.
A social media photograph shows Vare wearing the “World Commander” patches on his black and yellow Comanchero cut.
Another image shows him at the centre of a large pack of men, seemingly the central figure of the group.
NSW Police sources said they were also aware of intelligence that Vare had taken over the role as the head of the Comanchero OMCG internationally but said he was not particularly well known to authorities here.
Little is known of his links to bikies Down Under however an image posted to Facebook in 2019 shows Vare at a bikie gathering in Spain, alongside Australia’s current Comanchero national president Allan Meehan.

What the hell is a “pistol crossbow”
Assuming it refers to the fact there’s a trigger system, then “pistol bow” would make sense to differentiate when referring to a crossbow rather than a traditional long or compound bow.
It can’t be any where nee ancient enough of term to differentiate a hand held crossbow as opposed to like a ballista (is that the right name for the ‘medieval’ siege weapon ?)
Or is it a reference to it’s size? A more compact and or concealable weapon?
I guess if I had to bet on a “most likely”
It’s the shape of the stock where your dominant hand is placed hence “pistol grips” referring to features on the stock type and shape,
However when I think about a tiny toy right through to some of the worlds most powerful crossbow all have a “pistol grip” style of stock with varying degrees of curvature etc.
Once you start getting into things that require additional equipment/mechanical advantage being required to cock the crossbow, I think we’ve passed the threshold of what I’m talking about/interested in.
